Who care? Herd immunity isn't the be all. It's not a cliff we have to meet. Still - overall, only 21% say they won't get it. 79% might be good enough. I predict it will go up, however, with time as people see that the vaccines are safe.

In other news - people often said there is more hesitancy among people of color. We already have polling that said that's not the case. Here again, we have it. "There are no discernable differences by race, though, with similar number of whites (22%) and people of color (20%) saying they will avoid getting the vaccine if they can." The problem with lower rate of vaccination among people of color is due to access not vaccine hesitancy.

“Don’t spin me when it comes to my health.”

“And media, I think we all know if it bleeds, it leads. The more they can get you to stay inside and watch their panic p*rn, the higher the ratings.”

“Researchers at Dartmouth built a database recently monitoring the COVID coverage of the major news outlets across the world and found while other countries mixed the good news in with the bad, the US national media reported almost 90% bad news. Even as things were getting better, the reporting remained negative. Politicians, they lie because it’s their nature to cover their ass so they don’t get blamed if things go badly and also to keep in practice.”

“When all of our sources for medical information have an agenda to spin us, yeah, you wind up with a badly misinformed population.”

“...What about liberals? You know, the high-information, by-the-science people? In a recent Gallup survey, Democrats did much worse than Republicans in getting the right answer to the fundamental question “What are the chances someone who gets COVID will need to be hospitalized?” The answer is between 1%-5%. 41% of Democrats thought it was over 50%. Another 28% put the chances at 20%-49%. Almost 70% of Democrats are wildly off on this key question and also have a greatly exaggerated view of the danger of COVID to and the mortality rate among children. All which explains why today the states with the highest share of schools still closed are all blue states. Shouldn’t liberal media have to answer for “How did your audience end up believing a bunch of crap about COVID?”

“A new report in The Atlantic says the media won’t stop putting pictures of the beach on stories about COVID even though it’s looking increasingly likely that the beach is the best place to avoid it. Sunlight is the best disinfectant. And Vitamin D is the key to a robust immune system. Texas lifted it’s COVID restrictions recently and their infection rates went down, in part because of people getting outside to let the sun and wind do it’s thing. But to many liberals, that can’t be right! Texas and beach loving Florida have Republican governors! But life is complicated. I’ve read the Governor of Florida reads. I know we like to think of Florida as only middle school teachers on bath salts having sex with their students in front of an alligator. But apparently the governor is also a voracious consumer of the scientific literature and maybe that’s why he protected his most vulnerable population, the elderly, way better than did the Governor of New York. Those are just facts. I know it’s irresponsible of me to say them.”

“I don’t want politics mixed in with my medical decisions.”

“Now that everything is politics, that’s all we do. If their side says COVID is nothing, our side has to say it’s everything. Trump said it would go away like a miracle. We said it was World War Z. Trump said we should ingest household disinfectants, we laughed as we should of course and turned out 19% of America was literally drenching fruit in Clorox.”

“Now we find out all that paranoia about surfaces was bullshit anyways even though we spent hours and hours wiping our knobs with Lysol and if you’ve ever wiped your knob with Lysol...”

“Talking about obesity had become a third rail in America. 78% of those hospitalized, ventilated, or dead have been overweight. It’s the key piece of the puzzle but you dare not speak its name. Imagine how many lives could have been saved had their been some national campaign, ala Michelle Obama’s ‘Let’s Move’ program. If the media and doctors had made a point to keep saying “There’s something you could do.” but we’ll never know because they never did because the last thing you want to do is say something insensitive. We would literally rather die. Instead, we were told to lockdown. Unfortunately the killer was already in the house and her name is Little Debbie.”

This seems impossible, if for no other reason than Australia is connected to the rest of the world. It would make me question the test results. I don' think they are lying, but is just doesn't seem possible.

The reality on the ground isn’t that Libs are hunkered down still watching fear p*rn Covid coverage 24/7. Most people who are educated about Covid via paying attention to the numbers and data have a healthy fear of Covid. But everyone I know... even the most fearful of Covid libs... all understand the benefits of getting out in the sun and doing things.

What’s happening in Michigan right now IS newsworthy also. It throws caution at states like Texas who think they are immune to a surge.

Liberals are not getting off on Covid fear p*rn. They are however frustrated that there’s a real chance that the “open everything now” people are the same people who refuse to get that vaccine and will be the same people who spread the virus the next time it surges in our area.

Being frustrated with idiot right wing anti vaxxers isn’t the same thing as getting off on Covid fear p*rn. Everyone is sick of it, and no it doesn’t drive political news addiction like you’d think.

Bill Maher also has always been self righteous when it comes to health. He truly acts like one of those coastal elites liberals we keep hearing about when he talks about health. Oh it’s sooo easy to not eat processed foods when you are Bill Maher. All you other fat ass Americans are too stupid so that’s why you don’t get your food from the farmers market. That’s why I am healthy and have a great immune system and you don’t. It has bled all over the way he has talked about Covid and really makes him seem like an entitled douche. Maher.. you didn’t get Covid because you are rich. You are healthier because you are rich. You eat better and cleaner foods because you are rich. Fu$k off Bill Maher.

Hockey coach dies after dispute over social distancing at St. Paul bar
Alex Chhith, Star Tribune 12 hrs ago

A St. Paul man was charged Monday with punching and unintentionally killing a Bloomington hockey coach outside a bar following a dispute over social distance rules.

Bloomington-Jefferson high school coach Michael G. Ryan, 48, was found by officers outside Herbie's On the Park at 317 Washington St. around 11 p.m. Saturday.

Witnesses told police that Ryan Whisler, 44, punched Ryan, who then fell backward and hit his head on concrete at the bottom of stairs, according to the criminal complaint.

The Ramsey County Attorney's Office charged Whisler with second-degree murder on Monday. The charge said Whisler caused Ryan's death without intent.

The Bloomington-Jefferson girl's hockey team asked for prayers for his wife and daughters. "He will be dearly missed by his wife and daughters and the Bloomington hockey community," the team wrote on Twitter.

According to the complaint, Whisler punched a hole into cellophane put in place over a urinal to encourage social distancing, and Whisler then took a cellphone video of himself urinating into it. Ryan was agitated with Whisler and called him out as they were leaving the bar, the complaint said.

The verbal confrontation was cooling down when the men and their friends got outside, according to a witness in the complaint.

Then Whisler pulled Ryan's mask from his face and grabbed his shirt, the complaint said. Witnesses tried to separate the two, and a friend of Whisler's friend seemed to be directing him away from the bar when Whisler punched Ryan in the face, according to the complaint.

When Ryan's friend said he was calling the police, Whisler and his friend fled to a vehicle. Whisler then came back, picked up an object from the stairs and fled again, the complaint said.

Ryan was diagnosed with a brain injury he couldn't survive and was placed on life support at Regions Hospital. On Sunday, life support was removed. Whisler turned himself in to St. Paul police that day.

The Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office determined Ryan's cause of death was a traumatic brain injury because of the assault and subsequent fall. It said the manner of death was a homicide.

Don't want anyone to suffer from COVID-19... even those that spoke out against the seriousness of the pandemic and the response to it...

Ted Nugent says he tested positive for COVID-19: 'I thought I was dying'
Nugent, who previously said COVID-19 'is not a real pandemic,' said he had a stuffed-up head, body aches and had to 'crawl out of bed' the last few days
