I don’t know anyone who likes to lose, especially when you didn’t sign up for that. He came in thinking he would have a veteran team lead by Harden, not leading a lottery team to the abyss. He’s doing what he’s being told to do while potentially sabotaging his career as a head coach, that’s somewhat admirable, I guess.

I do agree with you that he should keep his mouth shut in regard to other teams tanking. Sometimes being silent speaks more than words, he’s not fooling anyone with the injury schtick.

I’m somewhat perplexed by the voting so far. Do people think that he’s done a horrible job tanking? That was the goal, and he’s mastered the technique! What gives???

Stone, not Silas. I like Silas.

I definitely feel for Silas. Probably thought he hit the lottery when he was hired and the bottom completely fell out.

Likewise, I’m disappointed in the ownership/management, I’ll give Silas a pass this year because what the hell did he get into let alone that there is such an obvious incentive to lose games this year. Seems like a nice guy, players respond positively about him, but we won’t know till next year or technically since we have our pick next year and still have wall on the books, maybe the year after which. Sadly he maybe the fall guy because the owners always need someone to blame and say we’re changing the culture.

As for stone, he is also a rookie GM. I feel for him in some ways because if he says the wrong thing then he’s got a boss who is very big on public image, being a celebrity, on tv so on so he can’t put his boss in a bad position and that is often apart of the million dollar job, to take the damage hit if the franchise goes wrong even if it was a call from above you.

That said, in this day and age of 24 hour access, details available more than ever surface level ‘professional’ interviews just are almost pointless and seem like something the Knicks would and do do. People could see through it when his first conference he says tillman isn’t involved, the dude put his son in the front office right next to morey, I’m assuming he’s still there right? Or at least he discreetly gives his thumbs ups on twitter still, we really got some reality show type of ownership here..

To end with some positive, Stone brought in Woods, Tate and KMJ on great scouting, KPJ because he threw unidentified food at his general manager for moving his locker or that stone played 4d chess and knew this would happen depending on who you ask around here. Either way, none of these dudes are going away this year so looking forward to see how stone drafts and silas(a silver lining is that these rookies are playing well under him) develop em.

Silas waited 20yrs to get a shot as a head coach, and when he finally gets his chance, they tell him to be the Tank General. I do feel sorry for the guy! If this is a long rebuild, he’s going to be M.I.A. before we win multiple championships!

Do they draw balls/numbers for the top 4 picks?

They used to draw balls, not sure what they do now with the revised draft rules.

    4-32 since 10-9 record after winning 7 of 8.

And still not the worst record in the league?

We will be tanking for the duration of Silas' contract, this will not be a one year deal.
