Yes, and many are required even if you aren't deployed. I got shots every year of one type or another.

Yea, hopefully it stays low. The new variants are impacting the younger age groups more than the previous variants. We are starting to see an uptick in some states in hospitalization among 30-40s. We saw this in UK, Israel, and still very much in Brazil. It's an ongoing race b/t these deadlier variants and mass vaccinations. US: ~70k cases per day, 82k yesterday, ~55k daily a month ago.

I’ve had both “jabs,” as the British say, of Moderna, the last one about 3 weeks ago. My upper arm was sore for a couple of days, and the next day after each shot I felt exhausted (more than usual). Guess I’ve been experimented on.

Personally, I think our armed forces should get the vaccine. You can bet that the armed forces of those who do not wish us well have been vaccinated, if it’s available. It’s a national security issue, in my opinion. The young men and women in our military, busy keeping us safe so we can complain on a message board, are a hell of a lot healthier than I am.

When and IF these vaccines become officially approved they will be mandatory for the army and especially the navy, here.

My dad told me when you get in the camp they line you up and get you 4-5 mandatory vaccines one after the other.Even for some obscure diseases that have been eliminated in Europe. There is mandatory male conscription so basically all the males have had them.

But for Covid it's still voluntary.
The state can't take responsibillity if suddendly hundreds of conscripted young men start to have seizures or clots.
It's not only about the vaccines but also about the dose. The study trials were rushed and companies like Moderna haven't yet found the optimal dose- it's more than needed so it can lead to side effects.

Take Brazil out of it. It is so rampant with almost no vaccination so it is the world epicentre where new variants are created.
The others have an ongoing race with variants, Brazil the only race it has is towards a military coup.
Brazil is a danger not only to itself but to the rest of the world.
