    Ok.

So I'm going to assume you're viewpoint is - what she said wasn't racist, and I'm an idiot. And there's probably some thoughts of dick riding somewhere in there as well. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Sure - @jiggyfly is what she said, racist?

I'm not assuming you can't retort because you didn't. I know you can't

    A retort to what?

The teacher (and now you) saying black people make excuses and think nothing is their fault way more than white people?

I've already given my thoughts on this, it sounds like racist, unverifiable BS to me.

I'm tapping out of this convo brother, go on with your bad self.

That black parents don't give a ****. Forget that she is saying all, do you not think this is more of a black parent issue?

It’s an economic issue way more than it is a racial issue.

That's very fair. I obssess on this because you have have to start addressing homes and not racism to stop the cycle of poverty

A poor black maybe uneducated but he/she can still help the school help the kid by just caring

Again, it’s an economic issue. I dont think, in my experience as a teacher, that poor white parents were involved in their childrens schooling more than poor black or poor hispanic parents were.

I grew up in a single parent Household. My white mom worked 2 jobs. Did she “care” about my grades? Absolutely she did. Did she have time to helicopter over me or join the PTA? No. She even missed some of my games.

Other situations can be far worse than mine was. There can be dependency issues or criminal issues present with the parents. So many variables outside of skin color exist in these situations. The biggest being financial.

Sorry I missed this post. I went to Catholic School 12 years because I lived in a very bad district,. North Forest, predominantly black. It's since been taken over by HISD.

We moved there in 1980, I was five. It was a white district from the 20s formed by whites holding on to segregation in northeast Houston ironically.

A lot of the men did well in industrial jobs but weren't educated. The area was ravaged by crack immediately after we moved in.

Back to the homes its not just poverty, it was nothing for kids to fall although living in a nice house. Their parents just didn't value education. Kids were not worried bringing home failing grades

Sometimes I think the fact it was illegal to educate slaves has a lingering affect on blacks today

    @jiggyfly

It is stupid race bait. Regardless of the topic, it's so stupid starting threads on some random person that got caught on video doing something anti politically correct.

Now we are analyzing it and she does make a generalization of blacks and that's wrong but @juicystream makes a generalization that all whites make racist comments among each other in private. How is he any better than the thread subject?

So then i actually think about what she says, and realize she actually is referring to something I constantly rant about, and I'm now realize she is in the trenches and backs me up on what I'm saying about education problems with black kids start with the parents and liberals blame our socialist education system that receives plenty of funding.

Even Obama received flack in 08 during the campaign for challenging black parents. Liberals just don't get it. It is about personal responsibility.

Go back and read your post. You wrote, "pretty common white people conversation". Not "racist white people"

You don't get it. Personal responsibility doesn't prevent calling out racism.

    It's not an either/or situation.
