He tweeted on April 4 saying, "biodiversity is definitely valuable" and "conservation is important and makes sense." He then asked, "but why do we stop there?" followed up by, "why don't we more intentionally try to generate novel diversity?" Biodiversity here refers to the variety of life on Earth ranging from variations as microscopic as genes to things as large as entire ecosystems. Credit where credit's due, dinosaurs would certainly be a form of "novel diversity," but it seems Hodak might be forgetting how the whole Jurassic Park thing went, not to mention how the sequels played out.
No way you'd find people willing to be 'zookeeper' for something like this. Not for any amount of money.
This isn't bringing back the woolly mammoth, dodo or auroks, species that went extinct relatively recently due to direct human action, this is insane.
Just do it. The only way we grow is to try. Worst case scenario another alien race looks at us and goes, well. that didn't fo so well, let's try it this way instead. Snuffleupaalagos exhibit, I'm in.. You can't control everything with the hopes of always being top of the food chain. That's not working together with other life forms.
At least he wants carbon based life forms instead of an artificial intelligence that’s programmed to help humanity by starting judgement day
I think you are dead wrong on this, have you been to Florida? For reals tho a lot of people would take the risk just to work with super exotic animals.
