You must be one of those idiots who thought stop and frisk actually worked.

You don't fight crime by breaking basic civil liberties. You fight it by socioeconomic reform. Maybe find ways to make housing more affordable for a start.

Fighting crime and affordable housing or socioeconomic reform are not mutually exclusive. When there are too many loopholes in the tax system, not only the wealthy ones are exploiting it, but also the average Joe and less fortunate ones are doing the same thing. As a society, we should encourage all to work to get a better life instead of demanding it. Working at Walmart should be rewarded more than collecting welfare. Flat tax system, with capital gain included, will collect far more much needed tax money without specifically targeting any group. But that's another topic.

BTW, fighting crime doesn't have to give up basic liberty, but there is never unlimited freedom. And calling me idiot doesn't make you smart.

I'm not trying to prove being smart. Ots just my sincere opinion when it's very easy to search the actual reasons for the crime drop. The crime drop was a trend experienced nation wide where social scientists have theories like lead concentrations being less. It's a talking point of people like Rudy to make themselves look better.

And a flat tax is regressive. 20% of a poor person's income has much higher value to said person than 20% of someone's income who makes 400 grand a year. The poorer you are, the larger percentage of your wages go to basic necessities like healthcare, rent, groceries, gas and utilities.

    Closing loopholes I agree with.

The only permanent solution to reducing crime is socioeconomics. A suburban kid has much less reasons to think about car jacking as an option in life than a poor kid. That's the nature of society.

Then don't start to tax before certain number. There are ways to protect the poor, but in reality, the poor are used as talking point to serve loopholes for the super rich.

It seems that Rudy trying to make him look better concerns you more than rising number of violent crimes. Politicians try really hard to spin everything in their favor, but numbers do matter.

Poor kids don't have to stay poor forever. School system, parenting, and the whole society, have to work together, and promote the right thing. This is America, you can buy a house by working hard labor and save money.

Numbers do matter. And simple correlations do not equal causation. You ignore how the entire nation experienced a crime drop during the stop and frisk era and it is widely contributed to lower lead concentrations from not using leaded gasoline. There are multiple international studies that show a correlation and causation on this matter. It didn't have to do with policies like stop and frisk. If anything those type of policies create distrust in certain communties where they will become more prone to lash out and be less cooperative.

And a flat tax still hurts the middle class also compared to the upper middle class and the ultra wealthy. Even for the median household that makes 60 grand a year, 20% of their income is far more important to them than a houshold that makes a million a year.

Are you like some sort of leftist that mimicks and mocks right wingers like Stephen Colbert in his days on Comedy Central?

    It's hard to tell sometimes.

Is that called strawman argument by obsessing with stop and frisk? Coz I never mentioned it and never thought it was a great idea.

More and more people are unable to give others credit. Dems claim credit for stock market and job market under Clinton and Obama, and GOPs argue about natural economic cycle or foundation by both Bush, and dismiss any credit for the Dems. The table has turned for Trump. You are doing the same thing with Rudy. Well, under de Blasio, crime and socioecomics don't look so good. No, I am not blaming him as the cause, but strong correlation can't be denied.

The current tax system hurts the middle class and upper middle class the most. The ultra wealthy class are enjoying the tax benefit/loophole of those trust funds. Deduction and exception create loopholes, and flat tax will largely reduce them.

You can keep marginal rates and eliminate loopholes.

Also, if you are debating me you should know that that economic growth under Obama was very similar to Trump's term in terms of low fed interest rates and just a natural recovery from a severe international economic crash.
Trump just accelerated the growth based on overspeculation, consumer debt and stock buy backs.

This thread appears to be getting off track.
There are likely multiple causes to the rise in attacks on Asians
    1. There has been a history of animosity between Asians and Black Americans mainly stemming from Asian immigrants opening stores in areas that were primarily African American and poorer. There were some serious incidents in the early 90’s but that doesn’t explain why now there would be a rise in attacks.
    2. Attacks have increased during the pandemic and around the use of rhetoric for Trump on down blaming China and Chinese for the disease. Many attacks COVID-19 was specifically cited as a reason.
    3. Crime in general has increased over the pandemic and Asians might be getting caught up in the general rise of crime particularly those targeting the elderly.
    4. In NYC, Bay Area, and LA are the largest Asian populations in the US including the largest elderly Asian populations. These populations are more likely to use public transportation and walk for daily needs than other populations. As such they are more available to random crime.

Or you go down the path of complaining that the smart kids are creating companies that the world admires and envies
Or more talented people get paid more than non talented people
Or that somehow Bruce Wayne being rich and smooth is the reason for all your problems
Or being jealous that the people who make exciting new cars get paid more than the people who complain about cars

Bruce understood that Gotham is corrupt but it’s not beyond saving

How can people be racist against a totally disparate geographical region that has most of the world's most beautiful women and all of the world's best food?

But all these cities have had daily stop the hate rallies but it’s not stopped the attacks

What stopped the attack in my last video
Was that there were undercover Asian cops in New York City

Which confirms @real_egal point that criminals are criminals and racists are racists
And you can be criminal and racist
And not watch politics or be affected by cartoons

That dude who attacked the elderly woman was fresh out jail for killing his mother
You think he cares what cable news or hbo Max does ? Or any politician ? Did the muppets or grand theft auto start this ?

the only thing that stopped further attacks was enforcing the law and jail
