saw this on reddit Brooklyn Nets have a 8-9 record without James Harden on the court, with Harden they are 26-7 In the 2 games without James Harden and Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving has 39 points on 44 shots (44.3% TS)
Are you actually using one particular game as an argument and then using a terrible stat to reflect a defensive metric? Really my guy?
I'm gonna call it now. IF Harden wins a ring this or next year, he will return to the Rockets when his contract ends (unless an extension is signed)
Brooklyns Defensive Rating 113.2 Brooklyn’s Defensive Rating w/ Claxton on the floor 100.3 There is a good case to be made that Brooklyn’s defense has been by far and away their absolute best with Claxton on the floor this season. BUT in an extremely small sample size of minutes here are the teams defensive ratings with the new guys on the floor Aldridge : 104.4 Griffin : 102.5
This was easy to predict. You don’t play a 31 year old 40 minutes a night when you play games every other day and heavy back to backs because of the condensed schedule. Smh. Well this will drop him out of the MVP race as well, but he didn’t go to BKN for that.
I would officially be worried about health if I were Brooklyn now. Even when guys come back, nobody will have experience w the full team.
Why so careful with KD, but have no problem rushing back Harden? KD and Kyrie better wire half of this season’s salary to Harden...KD hasn’t been seen for months, and Kyrie is allowed to miss games here or there or even just leave for a couple of games while Harden is stuck carrying the team leading the league in minutes Harden should be taking like 2-3 weeks off, and let KD and Kyrie carry the squad
Can Harden not make decisions for himself? The Nets are extra cautious with Durant and patient with Kyrie, but they ask Harden to come back before he's ready and play him crazy minutes? For me, Harden wants to play as many minutes as possible and wanted to come back as soon as he could.
So Deandre went from being a starter to dnp? How often does that happen? I assume the former starter usually becomes a backup.
Not if he doesn't agree with the demotion. Marc Gasol ain't too happy at the moment either with Drummond taking his spot, but he'll be a professional and play. Nets might just want to go in another direction, too.
Ill be depressed as hell if injuries once again keep james from a ring and getting the adoration he deserves.
Harden doesn't really have an injury history, and I'm sure Harden probably told them he was good to go before not feeling it about 4 minutes into the game. He'll probably throw caution to the wind and try to sit out more. Orrrrr he's going to try to power through because he's a baller.
