Not sure, I remember him pitching well against the Stros recently but I've never paid attention to him against anybody else.
Hard to judge based on a short season. His home/road splits in 2020 are weird. Home 7 starts, 4.38 ERA, 1.297 WHIP, 15 BB, 37K Road 4 starts, 1.88 ERA, .698 WHIP, 2 BB, 35K 6 of his 11 starts were against Seattle, Texas, and the Diamondbacks.
Hopefully Brantley returns tomorrow. I love seeing this line up in full health. It's just too relentless even without Springer.
I’m liking McCormick’s bat. He might take over in CF if it keeps up. Would like too see McCormick in CF and Diaz in LF tonight
I wanted Diaz and McCormick in LF and CF yesterday. However, Diaz has reverse splits in his career. He doesn't hit lefties very well. Diaz vs righties .287 BA, .334 OBP, .820 OPS Diaz vs lefties .239 BA, .312 OBP, .703 OPS
Dusty being Playful... with a great situation. He knows what he has... an Awesome Offense. So he's being playful and manipulating it in various situations to see if it's still productive. This is basically a Cat playing with a Mouse who likely still kills he mouse. If the "experiments" don't prove proper results, I'm sure he'll change. Could be wrong... but let's see
Agreed. I’ve been thinking that this is the year that they put it together somewhat. I have them 2nd to the Astros in the division this year.
Mike Stanton's analysis for "Keys to the Game"... 1) Garcia has swing-and-miss stuff, but he must get ahead in the count to utilize the curve-ball 2) Make Quintana get the ball 'up' because he's good producing grounders I'm thinking much of "analysis" is generally rinse-and-repeat in every sport
Yep. 2 balls hit gloves without errors. 2 IF grounders not turned into DPs. A K that gets away from the catcher.
