Should be a fun series. Ohtani probably will sit out a game or 2 with his ankle injury. Could have been really bad for him last night.
Curious to see how they go with the rotation over the next 14 games after tonight, lots of off days. Odorizzi looks scheduled to be available on the 13th, if that is the case they can have Greinke, McCullers, Urquidy and Odorizzi start 13 of the next 14 on full rest. If they wanted to use Javier as a 2-3 inning reliever or opener, they could easily do so 4 or 5 times over that stretch before they really needed him back in the rotation.
Where did you see that? Last I saw he was making a start on 4-3 at Corpus then another on 4-8 and then expected to be back in Houston for 4-13.
Angels are a good team, just took 3 of 4 from a good CWS team. Top of the order Fletcher-Ohtani-Trout-Rendon-Walsh is very, very good and they've added some arms.
The real competition begins. Angels are the only legitimate threat for the division so let’s take care of business!
Yeah their top 5 is really really good. I'm not as sold on their pitching just yet but there's only one way to find out
Yep, they've got potential with Bundy, Canning, Ohtani, Cobb & Heaney, with Iglesias closing, we'll see. I also have no idea if they have anything on the farm that could potentially help them this year.
Totally forgot about him and that they're using a 6-man rotation. Watch out for Chris Rodriguez too, Never pitched above A-ball due to injury and Covid, but he has a great arm, in the pen now but is a future starter.
Angels throwing a couple of good pitchers at us. Excited to see how Garcia does . I really liked what I saw last year from him . I mean we prolly won’t average 9 runs a game for the rest of the year , but I’d like to see how long we can keep it up
Is there a reason Bundy is better in LA versus how he was in Baltimore? Uptick in command? I'm slightly interested, but he was so boring in Baltimore that it is hard to motivate myself to actually watch him pitch closely.
