Those aren't A's fans, those are Astros employees sent out to wear opposing teams clothing and bang the trash cans. Instead of relaying signals, they're taunting them wink wink.
My point was that they are always trying, results are not necessarily a reflection of effort. Tyler White went 10-18 to start his career, btw.
That's true, it's still a small sample, but contract seasons still happen in baseball too. Correa is trying to get a 10 year deal, if he has another .700 OPS season he'll have no chance of that.
Javier gave them 50+ very competitive pitches in his 1st start of the year, build that up to 70 then 80 during the summer and you have a hell of a starter. If he's healthy and sucks in June we'll have something to talk about for sure. Now that you mention it, a team full of Tyler Whites would kick all kinds of ass in a pro softball league.
Yeah im in the same boat. I still firmly believe he's too talented to not put up numbers IF he stays healthy
Abreu must’ve gotten in the gym after the 2020 season. He looks like a different person and pitcher than he did just a year ago...was pretty hefty last season IIRC. Abreu providing solid innings would be a great and much needed storyline for this bullpen.
I know he has but I mean cumulative stats. 300 mil contact stats but I agree he def produces when he's there
