Do most AL fans know an alternative? Plenty lament having to watch their pitchers hit in interleague games... or largely support measures like TB did with Glasnow (don't hit). I'm specifically pointing out the passionate NL fans that for years declared the DH to be the devil's work. Then they saw what a truncated season's worth of games with a DH would entail, and again... there was very little outcry then, and baseball twitter had a momentary realization yesterday that "Hey, we didn't really miss this..." That was the impetus. I was right there with them. I was staunchly against the move. Didn't think this was real baseball. Didn't think the manager had to do anything. Little did I realize that the manager actually does have to have more a pulse on his pitchers in this set-up... can't simply rely on the pitchers spot in the order coming up, or the double switch, to make decisions on when to remove somebody.
Meh, I still miss real baseball but I've come to terms with the fact that eventually gimmick league rules will become universal
Well being AZ I'll probably never see him live but no I don't care. As much as a rat as he is the players created this situation for themselves. It's just misguided and somewhat childish for other fans to boo players that weren't around in 2017. It's fine to boo all of the entire 4 players left that were involved.
Do the A's still recognize the '80s teams that were the first posterboys for steroids? The irony of Oakland fan booing cheating is not lost on me.
I thought the exact same thing last night when one of those booing fans wearing a bash brothers t-shirt. Then I remembered it's Oakland and we shouldn't expect those morons to have any self awareness.
