I have mad respect for Lilliard. There's something about an all star only playing for one team in his entire career.

    Loyal players for loyal fans.

The superteam concept has been around for a few decades now...and I've slowly lost my interest in the NBA (as a whole) over this time. I suspect partly because I'm older and now find interest in other real sports (hockey, boxing, Swamp People)...and partly because the league has become so individual focused. It's not about the team, the city or the fans. It's all about marketing and money. These guys want to team up, not just to win a championship, but to win the championship and market it and themselves. Old NBA was a decent balance between competition and business...today, the business far outweighs the competition aspect.

it counts for something 7 years ago. since that ball swished through the basket at the end of game 6, harden's been running up the score on dame.

I disagree that Lillard has no pressure to win a championship. He has been Portland's franchise player since his rookie year. And it's not like Portland is some trash organization with no expectations. That franchise has a long history of great teams. They just never provided anyone better than McCollum to be the #2 guy and they had been as unlucky as the Rockets in terms of injuries.

I am no Lillard fan and I totally agree that he is a tier below Harden. But come on, the Harden apologists have to trash everyone in order to prop up their hero.

must be nice to have no expectations and people praise you just because you stay underachieving and not winning ****.

even Paul George seems to have more expected of him than Lillard...PG gets clowned for every playoff failure, and every single one of Lillard’s is just ignored

He's what, only 8 seasons into his career? It took KG 12 and even he got out. I'm not ruling out that he'll ride and die Blazers but it's too early to say he won't bail.

How? Harden hasn't gotten a ring. And joining the Nets doesn't make him any better.

I like Dame a lot and also like it when players stay w an organization, but I don’t see anything wrong with players, you know, wanting to play on a championship contender.

    Hey brah, don't be a dipsh*t.

I never said Dame was better than Frauden. However Dame did beat Frauden in that game. Facts.

Dame wasn't even the best player on his own team in that Rockets series, and was awful in the immediate series after it (19.8 ppg, .411% FG, .174% 3PT).

He was ass after that Thunder game winner in 2019 too. 25.1 ppg, .407% FG, .288% 3PT vs. The Nuggets. 3/17 in Game 7. Swept in the WCF shooting .371% from the field.

I don't understand how he gets so much praise for a couple game winners in first round series, where he precedes to be awful immediately after those game winners.

Obviously he didn't deliver when it counted. But you can't argue his loyalty to Portland. That is what OP is pointing out.

My god this guy is so corny. Didn't really care about him before, now I'm hoping they smashed by the Clippers in the playoffs.

I don't want to argue about it, but my opinion is that the Warriors would have been even better with Dame replacing Steph. Steph is over-rated.

Y’all sure this is not low key dig at LMA signing with the Nets? Sorry to break this to you, but the world doesn’t revolve around your ex-girlfriend Harden.

And don’t pretend like y’all wouldn’t be absolutely bonkers if a 25 yo Lillard landed in our lap today. All this “my ex- is hotter than her” when your only option is jacking off to pornhub is downright embarrassing.
