Yeah my heart races anytime I think we might get lucky and win I really want a top 4 pick. I’d gamble on that over trading and free agency signings
It would be surprising if this team wins more than 7 or 8 games down the stretch, so no. They will almost surely have a bottom 4 record.
Right! People are stressing about ping pong balls, if the Rockets end up with something like the 17, 23, and 24 picks it can still be a great draft .. but it will surely be Armageddon up in here
Of course. I was answering a message saying that it was either 52% or 0% if we were out of the botton 4
Fair. Sort of. We can control our odds, and we should. They start to fall off a cliff after top 4 (maybe 6, sure.)
I understand what you meant now. We want to max our chances of being top 4 but we don't HAVE to have a bottom 4 record. But we still should.
Bottom 3 teams all have the same shot at one of the top 4 picks. Even if we “fall” to 5th worst record, our chances at a top 4 pick drops to like 42%. Somewhat worse odds, but it’s not a huge swing that I’m stressing over. Just be prepared to be disappointed in either case.
I like our approach as of late. Go play hard and knock down everything for at least the first half. Show you can kick a$$ with this squad. Just make sure to let up and make enough turnovers to give up the lead towards the end. It's working without drawing too much league attention
I have not really been paying attention to the pick swap stuff but why does nobody mention that OKC can also get a top 4 pick they will be in the lottery as well. Do they have the right to swap are pick for the Miami pick as well? Meaning they could get our pick and there own if it is out of the top 4?
Here is a concise way of looking at it from SpaceCityScoop: If OKC lands top 4, it wouldn't really change their strategy regarding the Rockets pick for the sole reason that they can take the best 2-of-3 between Houston-OKC-Miami. There is probably a wild secnario where they could get 2 top 4 picks if both they and Houston move up in the lottery now that I think about it.
17 Krispy Kispert or whatever that shooter from Gonzaga name is. 23.Jaden Springer 24 Josh Christopher Any later pick I would pick Luka Garza I'll be happy with these picks
I am, but then I realize who we have coaching this team and I know he will get outcoached every single night. Kelly Olynk needs to take a chill pill.
If OKC gets the 1st pick & our 5th pick..... Cunningham & Kuminga. GSW get the TWolves 4th pick Suggs Could be disastrous. Wiseman Looney Green. Wiggins. Oubre Thompson. Curry Suggs Warriors doing well is another stress point in my life that I don't need.
I am terrified that our next 20 opponents are no real contenders. There's a good possibility to have a 20-game winning streak.
Win streak? Lmao 1 win against the Wolves and not getting smashed from the jump by BK has people confident I see this team is insanely horrible
