The thing about the current toxic climate is that we've begun to hate aspects of each other all while shrouding ourselves with virtues that everyone should love. Some libs would probably agree to tear down our current system (The Patriarchy?) if it promises, but not guarantee, a more equitable future. Putting that in practice will likely be chaotic and messy but some will feel that "the time for debate has passed." Both seem to have a certain doomed urgency that's inherently counterproductive for making wise or reasonable decisions affecting 350 million people and maybe even the world.
