Why are you so concerned about okc's draft position?

Yeah you just made that up. Not sure where you're getting this incorrect uncredible information from. Melo came here already agreeing to any role they gave him, just like Olynk. He was willing to sacrifice like Olynk for the better of the team. But Olynk is well received and Melo was hated before he had a chance to play his first game.

It's funny how certain guys are so liked so quickly here

it’s been widely reported melo was not happy with being a bench player at that point and didn’t want to come off the bench at all. He was more irritated with the fact that he felt like he wasn’t given a chance to be a starter and felt misled by d’antoni and Morey.

I didn’t make anything up. what you’re making up is that there’s some preconceived notion about olynk BEFORE he got here and not after his first game when he played well. Take your bs agenda elsewhere. Melo was out of the league because of his reluctance to accept a bench role anywhere. melo is an all time great, was extremely marketable and one of the leagues most popular players, he’s not a victim

In fact olynk was labeled as a dirty player for what happened to Kevin love in the playoffs years back when he was injured with Kelly guarding him and other altercations so every player whose in the spotlight has to accept criticism so this idea that there’s clear bias for unknown or unfair reasons is wrong or you just did a terrible job of articulating it.

in fact it wasn’t until Carmelo was open to even the idea of bench role and clarity in his role that he got another chance in the league ; https://bleacherreport.com/articles...ept-bench-role-with-blazers-well-make-it-work

kelly olynk also had pre conceived notions about him as well ; https://www.espn.com/sportsnation/story/_/id/19339300/kelly-olynyk-dirty-player

I stand corrected, i thought the swap would skip to next year if top 4 protection kicks in this year...

I think one of the huge flaws in our offense is our PG doesn't recognize cutters the way someone like Harden did. The entire game last game Kelly was slipping his man on the 3 point line and cutting into the free throw line area for a semi wide open lay up or dunk. Most of the time our ball handlers dont even see it and Kelly is just wide ass open with plenty of scoring opportunity.

It doesn't just apply to Kelly, they don't recognize a lot of people cutting. If you have the ability to replay the game just watch how many miss opportunities there were.

Playing in the East most don't see him a whole lot .... other than just stats.

I'd mentioned Olynyk being a good fit several years ago ... mainly as a stretch 5 but he's got more to his game than just that.

    2013.

Where does he rank among the all time 4/5 for the Rockets.
Wood, Ralph, Dream & Malone (never played the 4 but obviously could have), Elvin Hayes, Otis, Kevin Wills , Camby, Nene, Chuck Hayes, Clint Capela, Oakley, Bryant, Dmo (just to name of the top of my head there are a lot more)

He is not in the top 1/2 of the list but 7 or 9ish.

    or

    bigs pairings
    Wood/Olynyk
    ..vs..
    Dream/Sampson
    Dream/Otis
    Dream/Chuck
    Elvin/Rudy
    Malone/Rudy
    Ming/Howard
    Ming/Scola
    Howard/Dmo
    Capela/Tucker
    Tucker/Covington

Brickadipo is nowhere near the player Olynk is. Olynk after Wood is the best player on the team. It’s a shame we didn’t have him during the Harden years

He will probably be off to sign with the celtics guys for 3-4 years. Why the rockets have not offered him a contract cause he just here for little while, he will be a free agent and id assume the rockets just need the offensive help right now so it looks like they are really trying to win games out there. Yeah its that bad right now.
