This is partly the reason blowouts have "value". No Rocket Fan in their right mind doesn't gloss the fact they SWEPT Orlando. Sure, you'll take any win, but there's less doubt and more chest-bumping when you beat mf's ass.
I'd agree. Everything after this is gravy. Now we are the underdog. Think most of the nation will want Houston-UCLA or Houston-Michigan. There is a lot more history and bigger market share. USC has a solid following. But the ultimate offense in Gonzaga vs the ultimate defense in Houston would be the most interesting matchup to watch for contrast. .

Very fortunate for us I must admit. At the same time not our fault some of the better teams in our bracket got beat by lower seeded teams. We have to give our team credit. Every round if you watch ESPN they reseed and have UH as kind of afterthought. Just today in the Elite 8 they had both Oregon State and USC seeded ahead of us. I can understand Michigan, Gonzaga, and Baylor. We did what we had to do to get where we are. What these kids have done this year is historic and will be talked about for a long time.

What a game from Sasser! Incredible. Final Four. As much **** as Tilman gets on this board, and he has earned whatever he gets, this Final Four doesn’t happen without him. Sampson would not have had this opportunity without Tilman Fertita. I have to give him that.
Now that I'm thinking and dreaming about it, how ****ing perfect would it have been for Baylor and Gonzaga to meet in the Final Four (just like UH-Louisville in '83, the game everyone was calling "the real national championship game"), while UH is on the other side and plays the NC State role?
Had the same thought. Good defense, rebounding, and a slow paced low scoring game could lead to anything. NC State had no business winning that game, but they sure as hell did! It can happen.
