DC police have arrested 4 other black teens committing similar carjacking crimes. Apparently its a trend in DC right now for various groups of black teens to see how many cars they can carjack from "foreigners". The ages are pretty young...13-15 years old.
The DC area has a high black poverty rate. Why is this a "foreigners issue"? I'm sure these black kids if they have any animous towards outsiders it's going to be white people because of the historical implication. These are car jackings by poor kids raised in poor conditions who have unstable upbringings. Does these poor black kids scour 4chan and have manifestos online about how they hate foerigners or something?
I think this might be a national trend as we've had a few of these cases here in MN. A couple of months ago a Somali elder had was carjacked by some teenagers in the parking lot of a grocery store in Minneapolis.
Where do they get the Tasers, if their use in this instance wasn't a "one off." Can they get the damn things on Amazon? The devices are very dangerous and can kill by themselves if used on someone who's heart can't take the electroshock. Probably directly from the company that makes them. As a country, we're so cavalier in allowing the purchase of devices that can be used to attack someone by force. They are sold as being for "defense," but to think that is all they might be used for is naïve, in my opinion.
Quit being so defensive. Kids will eat detergent if others do it. They don't have to hate to rob certain people.
You are very wrong here, "foreigners" are targets for black people a lot especially in urban areas and especially with teens. I have no idea why you are trying to excuse these teens and act like they need to go to 4chan to start attacking foreigners. Did you not see what happened after Rodney King and Korea town?
I'm not excusing them for gran theft auto that led to a homicide. I'm not beliving they chose this guy because "foreigner" without more evidence. I don't know where you are getting excuses from? They attempted grand theft auto on someone that happens to be a foerigners. Some posters are making claims that the did this because he was a foreigner. I brought up things like 4chan because when there is crimes based on racism there is a internet footprint of their beliefs in this modern age. And my point about poverty is that if these kids grew up in a middle class suburb do you think they'd ever even consider grand theft auto? Yes, were you were raised and your socioeconomic conditions make a large determinant factor on the probabalistic odds of commiting these crimes. I mean I'd bet on my life that black teens raised in upper middle class suburbs have lower rates of grand theft auto attempts than black teens in poor neighborhoods. Hence why the solution to these type of crimes and reducing them always comes back to wealth inequality.
FC educate yourself all crimes based on racism do not have a footprint based on internet usage. Just because you don't believe they chose this guy because he was a foreigner does not make it so, there is a history of blacks targeting foreigners to let out frustrations sorry but it's just true. I have personal examples of blacks being racist to foreigners they think they are easy targets, ny grandmother was one of the biggest bigots I know. Have you seen Do The Right Thing? So based on nothing we are going to assume thet chose a foerigners because he was a foreigner for GTA? When we make assumptions of a white person who commits a shooting spree doing it based on race, we make that assumption because they killed multiple people of the sane race and their goal was murdering people and they have some sort of online precense of their racist rhetoric. This was a grand theft auto attempt. I don't know how race can be involved especially when the goal of the crime was the steal a car. This is making an assumption based on no evidence provided at all. Yes I'm sure poor black communties have history of fear of "the other" because of their treatment for a long time, they have developed a distrust of outsiders. It's a shame. What is your solution to it?

The thread you are referring to incidents with evidence that the motive was to attack Asians for their race.
Although it is difficult to prove that these violent incidents are purely motivated by bigotry, activists and community leaders, as well as victims and their families, think that race has played a major role.
So am I. I posted it Sat in that thread. You can say it was not purely motivated by bigotry but there has been a common theme for a long time about violence against asians.
Again the examples in that thread had evidence of racial motivation. This is a grand theft auto incident were the victim happened to be a foreigner.
