You know, when I'm thinking about issues of national importance, I say to myself "**** Ja Rule, what does Larry the Cable Guy think?"

Sorry to bust your bubble but conditioning the masses, or certain groups is already happening. It wasn’t even forced upon anyone. It started with the internet. Then came the personal consumption devices living on the internet. Then came the truly always with you (not so different from carrying an implanted chip) personal devices - smart phones. Then came these implanted chips next to your body exposing you to social media platforms. Then came cartoons such as these, traveling through the invisible 5g network to your self choice implanted device to your head and viola, magic happens in mass conditioning.

None of us are immune :(

It's both, yes. If your not getting vaccinated, the risk is on you. The vaccine will protect those they got it;therefore, why should we care about, or need a "passport"?

Think about this a bit more, things like the effects on the healthcare system, and the fact that it's a global issue.

Large segment of the population still can’t be vaccinated.

We don’t want a new variant that defeat vaccines or kill off kids that are waiting.

But we want to open up to, but do so safely without increasing the two risks above.

Whatever happened to “conservatives” wanting to allow companies to determine who and how they serve their customers? If there is a “vaccine passport” it’ll only be enforced by private businesses. You guys were excited as hell about bakers being able to refuse service to a dude who is in love with another dude, but you all the sudden are having a meltdown because Southwest Airlines won’t let you in a tube of recycled air when you could be a willing super spreader of a virus that has killed nearly 600,000 Americans in one year???

You so called “conservatives” are whiny little brats. If someone refuses to serve you because you haven’t been vaccinated you only have your party to blame for pushing the Supreme Court to rule that you can refuse service to gay people.

Those business are going to basically kowtow to the likes of Amazon and online shopping. This is a huge win for them..

If you're lumping me into that crowd, you've got it all wrong.

I'm trying to have an open discussion on if passports are needed, and the reasoning why. I think it's mostly a money grab and bad capitalism at its finest.

I think businesses should reserve the right to refuse service to anyone, to be honest, but knowing a bakery refuses to make a cake for a gay couple because they're gay would make me shop at a different bakery. Funny how the free market works.

They are absolutely needed given the large percentage of anti-maskers/vaccers there are in this country. I hope to be able travel overseas by this fall and these coronavirus mutant incubators are trying their damned hardest to prevent that for me and everyone else.

I don't understand this statement. Businesses that probably go this route of vaccine "passport" are those with large indoor gathering. Cruise ship for example. Doubtful any retailers would do this.

Some people distrust the media and experts for getting things wrong to the point where they think authorities are ****ing up on purposefully and intentfully.

    Maybe incompetence is just incompetence.

Sucks that we've removed accountability or enforceability in our society,

It’s not both, we aren’t going to have enough people vaccinated for herd immunity this year, and probably not next year either, like I said, I expect 100+ million to avoid Covid vaccination.

The other bit is more of a complicated topic that I’ll pass on engaging with for now.

1 year later and consensus is spread further apart than ever, regardless of science. We have casted data aside a long time ago.

We need a Purge. Not based on intelligence or wealth or genetics, but on common sense. Everybody fills out a 200 question questionnaire and the bottom x percent of dumbasses get exiled to Greenland or Australia or something.

I am a bit surprised at just how many Americans live in fear of being vaccinated so that the country, and the world, can go about it's business in a semblance of what passed for normality before this pandemic escaped China. Even more disturbing is the number of Americans exhibiting paranoia at what is a safe vaccine for an overwhelming majority of people. We've been vaccinated. My partner with the Pfizer vaccine, and I with the one from Moderna. It was relatively painless for both of us. A sore upper arm for a couple of days, and feeling a bit tried the day after getting each shot. Big deal!

The paranoia some have about getting a vaccine that's insuring that we can go about our daily lives, more or less like we used to, puzzles me. I wish I had a large cartoon with which to illustrate that, but haven't got one handy.

Yup. I really think we are headed for a new dark age. It's a question of how quickly.

I know it’s the hot topic right now on right wing fantasy land. That and the vaccine shedding conspiracy theory. It wasn’t directed at you personally.

If you do believe in free market then you should be perfectly fine with a vaccine passport. The government isn’t going door to door and throwing you in a hot box if you lost your passport. It’ll be the airlines first IF ... and that’s a big if that’s required.

And it’ll be other countries that restrict us from entering their country without one first. So I know the right is going to blame Democrats for anything and everything but it being a thing has little to do with Democrat tyranny.

If everyone in the US was healthy and there was a raging virus in Africa I know damn well the right and left would want proof that tourists from Africa aren’t carrying that virus. Since the US is likely to be a hot bed for some time, I don’t think it’s likely that other countries will be very queasy about letting super spread Americans on a plane to get margaritas on their beach, or getting a cup of tea next to their Eiffel Tower.

You seem like a more reasonable person but I know plenty who are worked up about this. Some in my family referred to it as a potential “mark of the beast” moment. It has gotten very insane as of late on the right wing interwebs.
