They’re stacked, but I’m not sure they have answer to the lebron/davis combo and will be at a significant coaching disadvantage even if Nash and MDA were average playoff coaches. I think it will be a competitive finals if the Lakers are healthy. I mean they can barely inbound the ball (where have we seen that before?) Lebron will feast on that **** w his bbiq.

I guess in theory another team could challenge those two before the finals, but I haven’t seen enough Denver, Utah, Clippers, Philly, etc games to have an informed opinion.

Lebron has high bball IQ but Harden and KD arent exactly numbskulls either cmon now.

Lebron AD combo is deadly but Nets have so much star power its a disgrace if they dont win.

No it is Jordan and LMA who already have years of exp under their belt and not 21 yr old Claxton.

Jordan is a turnstyle on defense, Jordan is rolling out the red carpet and escorting them to the basket.

LMA at least provides spacing on offense but on defense he too is a liability.

Claxton is already ELITE at perimeter defense. One of the best switching bigs in the league, perfect for the Nets switch-everything defense. With KD and Claxton on the floor together, they can lock up the opponents' best two scorers at any time. They will run right over any team that doesn't have a dominant big.

Half the defense double the offense. They have 5 players who made the all star team just 2 years ago. LMA shoots 36% from the 3. If they go LMA KD Harris Harden Kyrie they could just spam a 100 3s and no one could beat them. Even with the warriors iggy and green were average/below average shooters.

I don't get this signing at all. I thought they would get Drummond and be locks to win it all. Aldridge doesn't help them one bit. He's defense is atrocious and they already have the greatest offense ever.

Nets might not have an answer for LeBron/AD, but the Lakers don't have an answer for the Nets'...entire freakin' starting lineup.

Thats just regular season man. Calling Claxton elite at 21 yrs old I mean was Herro elite in teh regular season last year? Look at him now. Everybody saying Bam Adebayo was a defensive prodigy last year what happened this year? Claxton is performing well just cuz he is an unknown, when he gets scouted his play is gonna drop off esp in the playoffs. Esp in a switch everything defense it needs anticipation and understanding even more than raw athletic ability. Thats where the exp of LMA and Jordan come in they seen it all and know what to do compared to Claxton who basically played 15 mpg a game last year.

Calling 21 yr old elite in the playoffs lol is Claxton better than Dwight Howard and Anthony Davis? Cuz those 2 werent elite in the playoffs at age 21. If 21 yr old big men performed in the playoffs already people wouldnt say big men need more time to develop compared to guards.

If Claxton at age 21 and basically his rookie year can be elite in the playoffs he is gonna be better than Bam Adebayo,Giannis, Jokic, Davis, Embiid and basically any other big men in the NBA today. You really think Claxton is that damned good????

    Gimme a break man.

    I
That’s where I think the Lebron/Davis size advantage comes into play, I think they’ll get better shots, especially with playoff intensity defense. The counterpoint is Brooklyn will get more 3s. I think it could be a great series, and people are underestimating Lebron/Davis. There’s a lot of potential for injuries on both sides of the ledger though.

Lakers can't score enough to keep up. Will be the true clash of offense versus defense and 3s vs 2s

Nobody is understimating AD and Lebron you are just undestimating the entire Nets roster. Lots of people argue Nets trio already as good as Lebron and AD then add Griffin and LMA for free.

If Lakers win its a testament to Lebron and AD's greatness Nets are so stacked it aint even funny.

Don’t get me wrong, I think the Nets are insane, although I don’t think LMA will add very much. I’ve watched most Nets games this season, and Harden Kyrie Durant Harris Brown Claxton all look amazing in their respective roles, and it looks like Blake will be a solid player for them as well. Shamet and DJ have been good in their roles at times too.

I just don’t think they’re gonna streamroll the Lakers. They’re going to have to make a lot of difficult shots-which they are entirely capable of doing.

They arent gonna steam roll the lakers but they are the heavy favs and if they dont win its a blemish on all 3 nets stars esp on Dumbtoni.

It's crazy to me how people are losing their minds over a washed Blake Griffin and Lamarcus Aldridge. The Nets were already a great offense. All they needed was defense and rebounding, which both of those guys don't give you.

Sounds like we mostly agree. I just already take it for granted that Vogel will run circles around Nash/MDA.
