Stone is first year GM. Silas is first year Head Coach. What do you expect? Especially when 80% of the team are injured. Not all Morey deal were good either.

Fairly pointless to judge Stone and Silas until Fertitta stop having financial troubles. Because no GM is going to work around their owner telling them to cut salary. Morey had to make stupid trades that did nothing but help Fertitta's pocketbooks and Stone clearly needs to do the same. When the Rockets finish their rebuild and Fertitta's businesses all recover from covid, if Stone is still incompetent at that time then he needs to be fired.

Rockets a ****ing train wreck under Tilman.

Why would anyone want to be apart of this cluster****??

Players are going to be using Rockets as a G league team. Showcase their game and get a better contract or move to greener pasture when the time comes.

As for Tilman, if he couldn't open his pockets for one of the best teams in the history, it is unlikely he is ever dong it again for a chance to win.

He is going to treat Rockets strictly as a business now. He has been but now its going to be worse. Every move will be made to minimize loss and make him money.

Stone & Silas are just another example of Tilly's incredible 5% mantra.

    Tilly needs to F off.

Sure its a coin flip .....

50% chance to keep your pick is better than 100% chance to be picking in Miami's spot. This way you have a better best case scenario and the exact same worst case scenario.

Do you have a better idea ?

I think the fans should demand Hinkie back honestly. Let Stone stay doing whatever he was doing before and let Hinkie have control to do what needs to be done.

****, this is going to be a problem. Quite evident Wall is having issues, but you can't say just let him go because nobody wants his contract. As long as Wood and Porter Jr believe in him and follow Silas they are the only two players that matter, Tate too I guess. But as long as Wall is unhappy that's just an albatross in the dressing room that you're never going to get rid of.

The best case scenario right now is the Rockets struggle and suck enough that Tilman sells the franchise to someone else.

This team has gone downhill since Tilman took over. Literally every single little thing, such as Morey leaving, D'Antoni leaving, losing assets, losing trades, and ultimately losing Harden is tied to Tilman in some way.

Hopefully we win the draft lottery and look back on this year as rock bottom for our beloved franchise. Tillman sells the team sometime in the next five years, while we begin competing for a championship soon after. In the meantime, Tillman has shown himself to be arguably the worst owner in professional sports, one is hard pressed to imagine more than a mediocre team turning a mediocre profit until he sells. I hardly find it fair to blame Silas or Stone as 'the worst' anything...look at the top of the pyramid.

Thanks for the post Codman. Appreciate hearing your take on the moves/non-moves.

Suffice it to say, disappointing to hear some of this stuff.

Silas is ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE....It was clear Wall didn't have it going down the stretch, why in the hell did he take out Augustine???

    Horrible coaching

It's a good thing, but unless Silas is trying to lose, it reflects badly on the future under him. Unless the Rockets are assuming he's so bad he'll lose even when he's trying and then they can shitcan him when it's time to w in again.

I think Silas has been horrible, but it’s ok for this season since a top 4 pick is the only priority and he is fulfilling that role at an elite level...when we go from just wanting to lose to wanting to develop and build something, I want Silas outta here

I attributed Silas coaching to date to the trade deadline and needing to keep guys trade value up. But now? There's no excuse left. There's no one forcing him to play Wall as much as he is. Bottom line is he sucks as a coach.

I expect a coach in U10 Division 13 to know, that it is a fundamental part of the game to get the ball to your best player.

The fact a head coach in the NBA doesn't understand this, is actually quite alarming.

When Cunningham or Mobley get drafted there has to be a new coach in charge. You can’t have Silas and Wall stunting their development
