You want to talk about someone who isn't a Moreyball player, inefficient his entire career 50% ts, almost 27 is not that young anymore, and to top it off literally is cancer. You want that guy instead on a multiple year contract? I'll take the flexibility.

Levert moves the needle none whatsoever if you want to contend, and why would you want to hang on to him if you want to tank, makes no sense.

All these idiots who have been crying for the team to tank all year is now crying about why didn't we get these good players instead. Make up your damn minds cry babies. If tank is what you wanted to begin with then admit that Stone is the goat at that!

Sorry but it's not the right time or any time to joke about dying.

There is much else that I could get behind.

People are asking what was Stone's leverage? Well, Miami just got him half a season earlier than they were going to AND now they have his bird rights they can keep Dragic and Iggy if they choose next season, also they don't have to hard cap themselves on the small chance it was going to be a sign and trade.

Stone should have said, ok he might join you for free in the summer but you lose Dragic, Iggy and Bradley and you don't have him for your playoff run this year. So you have to pay to keep all that. Riley was like 'nah I think we'll just have him now please' and Stone coughed him up. Terrible.

And Oladipo had a 50 TS% with us....what is your point? Oladipo looks washed and injury prone and he looked that way before we traded for him. Lavert is younger, probably better, on a longer contract, on a cheaper contract, and did not have a preferred destination. He was a better asset to trade. Flat out, point blank period. Everyone, EVERYONE is saying this trade was trash and it was. Also yes he had cancer and is now back and looks like as good of a scorer as ever. Flexibility?....Dude we lost assets for no reason, this was a stupid move, there is no justifying it.

If he is a ninja turtle, I would have expected we get at least a slice of pizza in the swap. Still, nothing.

Sadly, that is indeed true! It's a race to the bottom. Sucks that perhaps the two worst owners in their respective leagues are both in Houston. At least Tilman didn't put a chaplain in charge of everything.

Uhh, WHY did they demand trades?

Everybody fled the ship. GM, coach, star players, everyone. You can't watch that happen and not look at the captain of the ship.

what system do we have? we lose by double digits for months at a time. forget system fit. we are in asset collection/development mode.

levert would have earned us more at the deadline than Oladipo because he's not an expiring contract, leaving rockets with more leverage. we could've brought in expiring contracts and at least 1 FRP. we would've had more options than just Miami.

Allen is 22, he wants cappela money, and we should've payed it. Who else are we signing that's younger or better in the summer. most players are trying their best to get out of Houston, no one is signing here with our cap space unless we overpay. We should've kept allen, resigned him to capela money, and figured out him and wood later. that's what tanking teams do, collect assets rather than throw them out for cost savings.

Yup, we've been giving up assets to lower cost since Tilman arrived. it took 3 seasons, but we finally ran out of assets. James saw it and wanted out, Morey saw it (and James desire to leave) and followed suit. I don't blame either for wanting out.

The warriors, Knicks, nets, and blazers are in another league with how their owners are willing to spend, even paying tax for non-contenders. I wouldn't hold the bar that high for everyone else. But if our owner could've at least payed the tax 1 year, in 2018 when we were the best in the league, or the next year to truly run it back, I think we win 1 championship in those 2 years and don't breakup the team. but James took notice of the cost cutting, so did morey, and they realized this guy isn't about winning and it won't happen here under his stewardship.

If we don’t tank AND land a top 4 pick. We’ve basically effed ourselves over as well.

Since we will likely land the Miami pick in the 20s now.

True, but the Texans don’t count as an actual franchise

Even Tim McMahon is going in on the Rockets for the final outcome of the trade on windhorst podcast. McMahon has been pro Tillman until now.

pretty much hinting Tillman refused to deal with Morey even after Morey upped his second offer.

They were quotes from players. They were in print, ESPN shows, players, radio. All mention the comments from players involved.
