Fox News is far worse than I imagined. Seriously, they are not news, and those hosts can't be called journalists. I never watch it, but this is horrible. How dare those so called journalists make such light of a violent, tragic and seditionist act. Zero threat, right from the start? Bear spray, makeshift weapons, and beating police? People screaming "Hang Mike Pence!" OMG!!

 

I just listened to what Trump said on the morning news. I'm not sure Orwell could've envisioned the denial of reality being pushed by a major political party over this.

More disturbing is that there are many who believe this and who still continue to insist that the Left is responsible either through Antifa disguised as Trump supporters or that the Left made violence acceptable so the Trump supporters just copied them.

 

Again, an attempted violent interruption of government, with no consequences and with willful denial like this, will historically just be a practice run.

Also: those ****ers at FOX are complicit every step of the way. Freedom of lies.

They are merely gaslighting. They know what they say is bullshit. Repeat it enough, you can make it into a narrative and just circumvent the real reasons for wanting Trump to overturn the election which isn't because of fraud but because they want a authoritarian dictator. This is how they get to achieve the narrative without saying that part out loud.

 

There are many who don't know it's bullshit. There are many who still believe that this was primarily Leftist who caused the insurrection.

 

It was a small part of the whole insurrection but yes, the Capitol Police did let people in through and out of the National Statuary Hall. I assumed it was an effort at appeasement.

But the only people that believe any thing any Trump has to say are the same ones that voted for him. Same with McConnel, Cruz, Hawley, Kennedy etc. They are just preaching to the believers. They already lost the big one and their numbers are dwindling.
