Seems like Toronto and to a lesser extent Orlando are holding up any major transactions. As long as teams feel like they are in the Lowry, Powell, Gordon sweepstakes not much else significant can get done.
Usually the night before there’s a random 3am trade flurry that didn’t happen this time which seems to be that there are bigger deals queued up to happen and holding up subsequent deals. Should be a very busy few hours this late morning. I’ll plan on staying in during my lunch break that’s for sure.
How annoying to wake up and see I slept though the huge blockbuster of delon for cojo and seconds!!! I was expecting to wake up and see at least a couple more trades
Not sure what's the point for the Bulls in going after Dipo, they have LaVine, he's expiring and wants to get paid, makes no sense to me, just like it makes no sense to get Markkanen for us, he'll likely be overpaid and he's not worth, he's not even a good fit with Wood, would be like putting Nowitzki next to Towns, and Markkanen is not even close to be as good as Dirk was obviously. That sounds just like another random ruor put out there.
All it takes is a couple multi team trades and our guys will be gone. Right now I would just be happy getting picks and rebuild from there. We need a shot at Cade and building around Wood within a couple years.
I salute my CF brethren who stood along the tank and held down the fort throughout the night only to see a minor deal between the kings and pistons... I salute you and will reward you today with a flurry of trades that shall tickle your fancies
Wow, just checking in on Kyle Lowry since he’s holding everything up. He’s 35! Time flies. I remember when he was a chubby kid dealing with McHale’s bullshit. Doesn’t feel like nearly a decade ago, but then when you think about it, it does.
Embrace the tank! We “re-tool” for another year or two, and make a run with a future dynasty in our hands. In Stone we trust!
I hate that the John Wall contract is so complicated to trade. If he made just $10M less, it would be easier to trade to a team like the Clippers that are looking to upgrade that PG position. Considering that they are under cap hell for the foreseeable future, John would make perfect sense for that team. He really isn't playing that bad, but he is a hindrance on this team since he is being selfish for whatever reason.
Once they are traded, there may be nothing left for Oladipo, apart from a couple of SR picks. Ujiri is smart, he might ask for a FRP plus the expiring contract of Oladipo for Powell, if Stone declines to take SR picks. That wouldn't be worth it. @ApacheWarrior
