As a disinterested observer I can tell you that I care much more about the picks than Oladipo and I think most people think the draft compensation is the "headline." It was covered that way too. Also, as others have pointed out, Oladipo will likely turn into additional draft compensation. So it's not really fair to Stone to try to marginalize the draft compensation and then call him a dope for not trading for draft compensation.

 

Good teams have been built with less.

Today, the picks hold little value because the Nets have three all-stars including perhaps the best player in the league - who is 31. The swaps hold basically no value. Oladipo is mediocre.
