Players get disgruntled when they're pulled out or restricted. I know you're not against them getting adequate playing time. The most important thing for younger players is to win and increase their confidence and morale. Nearly everyone including yourself of course, my good friend wants to see us get a top 3 pick at the least. That's the dilemma for us.

His bird rights means jack sh't.

    1. he already turned down an extension offer from the Rockets, meaning he wants no part of this sorry franchise at this point, so his so called bird right of getting an extra year of money is just laughable reason.

    2. Stone had been trying to trade him the moment since he arrived here and if there were any reasonable offers, he will be already gone. He aint even close to being any hot commodity as many delusional fans here expected from the get go.

I'm ready for this to be over. I love deadline time. It's a weird time for us Rockets fans when the Coach/GM do not seem to be on the same page, but we actually have some decent assets to send out, but at the same time we are tanking and don't want to lose sight of that.

You forgot KD, one of the best individual players in NBA history during his peak.

Its dumb to use GSW as an example for anything. Its like looking at Zuckerberg and saying you need to drop out of college to become a billionaire.

If the rockets were really progressing then this deal would be done .

    deeps playing tonight ?

love to see him start and then get pulled . That would be exciting .

Crossing my fingers for an ATL contract plus a young guy / pick .

    take that and RUN .

dipo is gone . Everyone knows it . We don’t even want him to play well for us down the stretch .

Not true. Limited teams will have max space this summer. He may require a S&T to get where he wants to go.

This is true but Rockets have two choices as I don't they really want to keep him long-term:
    1. Trade Oladipo now and collect whatever we get
    2. Keep Oladipo and wait for S&T in summer

If we don't get what we like with #1, we can opt for #2 and hope that there will be a team desperate enough to do S&T with us. However, the problem is that keeping Oladipo may lead to us winning more games (Although, that hasn't happened yet but Wood is now back so I think it's possible).

Rockets made a big mistake when they traded Capela, thinking they needed smaller guys who could switch everything. What they actually needed was a couple of tall guys who could switch everything. Smallball was a bad idea for many reasons, but with the right personnel, a switch-everything defense works beautifully.
