[Official] Texans Off-Season

Since we've now seen how bad it can really get, it makes Rick Smith seem competent by comparison.

 

Wait. They had 2 long snappers and now have cut both? Why did they have 2 in the first place?

 

Rick had his misses but rarely had the WTF moves BoB made routinely. It's simply amazing how bad Cal screwed things up right off the bat.

 

That dude sucked in later rounds but was usually money in the first round.

He wasn’t bad at finding undrafted free agent either.

he didn’t typically screw up rounds 1-3. Late rounds were terrible but his way avoided total catastrophe

 

Especially dbs.

 

Surprised. He actually looked decent in his limited role.

 

You can tell he’s been keeping a close eye on us from a far over the last few seasons

 

Or just watches a ton of film.

Not sure I’ve ever seen a GM sign so many players in such a short span.

 

I always considered Rick Smith an "average" gm or maybe slightly above (on a good day) but there's really no way anyone can say he wasn't at least "competent"!

Again Caserio is bringing in quite a few new "deck chairs" to reshuffle.
I'll take a wait-and-see posture to see how much water they take on.

The hour or so immediately after the draft was more exciting than the later rounds of the draft IMO.
