press conference gave no motive yet. shooter identified as 21-year-old Ahmad Alyssa victims age 20-65. officer Talley had 7 children ages 5-18 Shooter is from Arvada ... about 20 minutes away, which is closer to Denver. He must have chosen Boulder, and this community is south Boulder, so it was the first stop off highway 36, which connects boulder to denver. Highway 93 is another ikely approach if he drove from Arvada ... which leads directly to the King Sooper
What the hell would carrying a gun have done when a person walks into a store and starts firing? Do guns now come with force fields?
He still looked like a white guy when he was apprehended so what's your point? Reeko said he did not care what the guys name was.
It might have made it so that the cops weren't able to tell who the shooter was if there were multiple people running around with guns.
Yeah, I don't buy this argument either and I'm a big conceal carry guy. These moments take seconds and are random. Usually, in self-defense situations, you have time to notice your threat, prepare for confrontation and at least see what's coming. This **** is just random. If I'm loading my groceries in the car and I hear gunshots inside the building I can't just run inside and start firing back. Police or a good guy could easily shoot me thinking I'm a bad guy. If I'm inside i'd be lucky to be able to get off a few rounds but it might not stop the guy from continuing.
The real answer is banning alcohol but we've already tried and failed at that; hillariously I might add lol. That's what these politicians can't see. Prohibition never works. It just makes criminals rich.
Certain politicians have accepted that these mass shootings and leading the world in gun homicide are just parts of the American experience. Fast food, expensive healthcare, politics as anger-tainment, and living in fear of being shot to death by a fellow citizen. Gotta love it!
I remember when 10 people getting killed by a mass shooter was a national news story and all the networks would be talking about it for days
Good point, except... banning (essentially banned though not completely) gun works in many advanced societies. But of course, we can't do that here because 2A and perhaps we aren't so advanced (just j/k).
Not likely. There was a shooting of a GOP Caucus softball game with Rep. Steve Scalise seriously injured. He still doesn't support increased gun control measures. Apparently him nearly dying wasn't enough to convince him.
