Yeah I agree with that, I think the Texans have to hold onto him while he’s suspended. It would be dumb to get nothing for him.
Considering the s*** sandwich he was handed, I'm pleased with the work Caserio has done so far. He's casting a wide net, not mortgaging future cap space, and might just assemble a decent team. Refreshing after the previous GM giving away cash and assets like crazy.
I would be so much more into Caserio if he had done a better job at HC. All this depth and either keeping Watson or getting a haul for him and someone new means nothing when our HC is a WR coach who has never coached a good group of WR...
This reminds of the of when Bo Porter joined the Astros. Porter was hired with the intent of transitioning the team. In a similar way, I believe Culley is a transitional coach that will be replaced with a better candidate in the 2-3 years.
If the Texans can get a late first and second for Tunsil and have $9 million in cap space for guys Team might improve upon 4-12 with Tyrod Taylor
I love what Caserio has done. This team was straight garbage with holes everywhere. I’m sure they’re still god awful, but he has done a good job of accumulating guys who might give us a chance to at least maybe win a game. Maybe...
Do we even have roster spots for all these guys? Seems like a lot more cuts should be coming. Fulton and Martin were good starts but need to jettison Murray and Cobb too.
Texans will have to eat $25M in dead cap if we deal Tunsil. We’d actually lose $15M in cap space this year.
