There's too much bickering and jabbering about the valuation of these rumors in here. NO ONE HERE HAS CONTROL OF WHAT THE TEAM DOES. No one needs the same 100 takes on why trading for Aaron Gordon doesn't fit the time line you made in your head. This is a safe place @D-rock
Zach Lavine isn’t a franchise player. This season is by far the best the Bulls have been with him as the lead guy, and the result is a 19-22 record atm Zach Lavine is not a #1 or someone u build around unless u just want to be a below .500 team Just because he’s putting up nice numbers, that doesn’t mean he’s a franchise player. I mean, would u build around Bradley Beal?
I'm on board with acquiring Gordon if Augustin and Eric Gordon are going the other way (we'd probably have to attach a couple of first rounders). Willing to do that because we need to create cap space for a bonafide star rather than the Gordons and the Woods of the league. However, both these guys are having impressive seasons and I think they might be a perfect fit, would be extremely good around a star player. But if we don't dump Gordon and Augustin then we'll be taking on salary and that's just not worth it. EDIT: sounds like he doesn't want it but I bet we could change his mind by next summer. Again though, only if it's Gordon being shipped out. If we're dealing Oladipo, not worth it, let's get younger players or best pick and an expiring.
maybe, but that seems like it’s just reshuffling the deck his value will be lower next season than it currently is now
I agree with it being a gamble trading for them. I think our priorities should be to trade Wall & Oladipo for expiring contracts so we have that free agency money and secure a top 4 pick Porter/Top 4 pick/Wood may catch the eyes of some super stars down the road but like you said not this year.
I put zero weight into anything leaking right now. Rejection, deal close, whatever. It's all conjecture until he's dealt somewhere else.
I’m not sold on Gordon nor am I sold on the fact that Lacob will want to pay the luxury tax again after having a couple of years of no fans and a huuuuge mortgage on the Chase Center. The Warriors are absolutely considering punting on Wiseman or the Wolves pick if it gets rid of Oubre and Wiggins.
I don't quite agree with that 2nd part. I think at worst it will be about what it is right now, with some good potential to help us in a trade for MPJ types. Regardless, happy to see it shot down. I'm perfectly content to give KJM the starting PF spot to see what he can do.
Nobody wants to be here anymore, few players other than those looking for playtime or getting out of Utah would be willing to come here, not established starters.
