Sucks that Trump bootlickers like all of a sudden given a hsit about immigrant children just because a Democrat is president. What is next? They will complain that the corona virus is not being taken seriously? lol
So I guess the 15 billion dollars spent by Trump on his wall was a huge waste of taxpayer money. The Trump administration spent $15 billion on a border wall but decided against spending money to ensure a larger supply of vaccines would be available to protect millions of Americans from Covid-19. https://www.forbes.com/sites/stuart...n-on-border-wall-but-skimped-on-vaccines/amp/
It looks to me like conditions haven't improved since Trump was President. I agree that's bad and certainly hope Biden addresses it but these conditions have been reported on for at least two years.
So why has this been spiking since last April? Not saying this is an not an issue but it's hilarious not a peep has been said until this point.
Get ready for a bunch of faux caring about immigration and scaremongering until 2022 elections..... Another reminder.... when the GOP controlled the government they passed tax reform then peed and went to bed.
I do agree and hopefully the Biden admin will shift resources. It's been a few months into the Biden presidency so I'm a bit more forgiving, but this is an issue that the opposition is hoping to amplify and run on in 2022.
I'm sure the GOP will use this. Also if Biden doesn't make substantial improvements in this situation by 2022 he will deserve criticism. That said remember when the GOP was all up in arms about "caravans" of migrants coming to invade the Southern Border. Members of the Trump Administration touted how tough conditions were that people would be held including children. They wanted to use it as a threat to migrants to discourage them from coming. I find any current concern for the state of how children are held now to be hypocritical. Of course the current party doesn't seem to have any recognition of hypocrisy.
I don’t get why the left even thinks they need to think of this as a crisis. Given our immigration situation El Paso and Brownsville are basically the modern day Ellis Island. This is just where our immigrants are currently coming from and we do need them... we just the need the infrastructure to process and we need to process them in country prior as much as possible. We would prefer not to have surges either so working in hot bed countries with issues is the most important so it’s a steady flow we can handle and not have stops and starts. Sorry but I just don’t see the controversy here. It’s the freaking US of A. We are reliant on immigration for our system to work. This is not much different than the Irish and Polish getting processed on Ellis Island 100 years ago.
It's not the left making it a big deal, its the repubs using this as ammunition to slander Biden great appproval ratings. The demonizing of immigrants narrative can win you the next republican president.
