You can still tear it down to the slab AND establish a winning culture. That's not been happening here and we all know it.
You can still set up core values and bring in players who are committed to those core values. Then you preach and model those values daily, hourly verbally, electronically, visually and emphatically. Rockets wanted a culture change without first establishing a PLAN for a new culture. Wall is the one who started spouting these new values and even the media picked it up and ran with it. Camaraderie and chemistry, want to be here, I'm the franchise player ... these are all Wallisms. Name me a louder or more impactful Silasism? Stonism? Tilmanism? Tilly has shut up and likely doesn't even listen since Harden traded.
Not enough excitement in yall's Harden as a Brooklyn Net thread, yall have to come stink up the GARM?
But they are executing the plan. The plan is to be awful. That’s the first step in the rebuild. What Wall says has no impact on anything. Probably Silas either. The only thing that matters is we set ourselves up to draft and develop young talent. Right now the culture is loosing, and for good reason.
So worst team in the league but really good guys? Not sure why that matters when they will all be gone in a few years.
A bit of contradiction in your post. They aren't executing the plan. You say we need to develop young talent. You're spot on. Yet here we are continually watching Wall be a ball hog and play and hinder the development of Wood and now KPJ. Removing Wall from this team develops that young talent, continues to rack up Ls which is the plan, and betters these players for the future. We're instead racking up Ls and not developing talent.
I’m not really talking about this your or even any person on the team right now. I agree with your take on wall, but I am not talking about this season in this post.
Who was quiet when they were playing well. Name names or STFU. The same posters who were saying this was a mirage and got called fake fans are the same ones still talking. The ones that are quiet are the ones that were big upping Cousins and Wall when they were shading Harden. So how you like the culture change Shook?
Employees come and go, but the organization's culture must be steadfast. The best organizations understand this.
Why are you in here in the 1st place if you were not somebody saying we would have a better culture without Harden? This is not about if we are on the right track its about people saying Wall and Cousins were a better culture, now you up in here talking about a culture with players who are probably still in High School. Why you deflecting?
WTF? You are just all over the place. if nobody is gonna be her how the **** is tanking a part of culture change?
For the last time.....The culture change is long term. It’s not about this year. It’s about loosing to increase chances of acquiring top talent. It’s not that hard. In fact, it’s elementary. I’m not sure how you aren’t understanding it. TANKING = TALENT AQUISTION The more talent a team has, the easier it is to establish winning culture. Anyone saying good team culture isn’t established by having top players should apply for a job with the Texans.
Lmao at we’re tanking. People are in denial about how bad we are and it isn’t intentional. We’re actually trying to win these games. That’s why this is so pathetic and shameful. The coach is crying after the game and you think we’re tanking? We have no choice other than to tank now because we SUCK! Well we should, but who knows what Stone is trying to do. He needs to go full throttle with a tank and trade anybody not nailed down for future assists like Presti, but we don’t know if he’s doing that or trying to bring in guys like Aaron Gordon to still try to salvage the rest of the season. We have not made tanking roster moves yet. They thought this team was going to be good enough to win and make the playoffs and boy were they wrong. The trade deadline will let us know what direction Stone and Silas finally decide to go. Bringing in Dipo was a win now move so just because we’ve lost 20 games in a row doesn’t mean that up to this point they are intentionally tanking the season when you can see they are clearly trying to win games with a roster of guys they literally handpicked.
1) Harden gave up on team, that is true. It was also tru that a team consisting of a bunch of injured ass players isn't good enough. 2) Harden haters, and those who got slighted by "harden's betrayal" got all but hurt, and used whatever they could to slander the man including "culture change", diva, cancer, and so on 3) Pretty confident that no one on this site when they were originally clamoring culture change was thinking we will b on a 20 game losing streak. In their delusional mind, losing harden is survivable and we could have still limped into playoffs. Plus they liked players that want to represent us like wall and cousins (pfft.) Changing the culture was never the phrase used to say hey lets tank, it was mainly the phrase of choice used to attack harden's character and how much spoiled he was by the Rockets by people who hated harden and those who felt betrayed by him. It's the revisionists on here doing the mental gymnastics as always. Now that we are sht as possible can be, the same revisionists are saying all along changing the culture was rebuilding and tanking was what they wanted all along. A bunch of delusional bullsht.
