    You are right I am wrong looking back Fertita did prob tell Morey to cut salary. You are also correct deciding on James Ennis as the Ariza replacement was Morey's idea.

    I think Morey was def a top 30% GM in the league but its dumb to pretend he didnt make any mistakes in the Fertita era. Somehow these other posters think everything that went wrong was Fertita's fault lol.

    dude, he's 35... and in his 17th NBA season

    The year before we signed him to be our "franchise primary option" he was averaging 9ppg, and he was signed for 6 million, the whopping 5th largest salary on the team and just 10% of that season's salary cap (the going rate for an average starter).

    Hating on the man for no reason.

    LMAO yea sure it was. Just like it was Morey's idea to waste Anderson's contract, waste melton, waste another first round pick, and our only trade dead line acquisition being Iman Shumpert LOL. Yikes.

    Morey can make one or two bad move in a season....but multiple ones? Cmon. That season had the very obvious theme of cost cutting.
