Tony buzbee filing lawsuit against Deshaun Watson? Hints at mistreating women

This whole thing seems fabricated.

Whatever the franchise can do to TRY to save face I suppose.

This is straight bullshit.

With everyone and their mother talking about Cal and Easterby they will definitely win in the court of public opinion no they will not good the contract but it makes it so much easier to move on.

 

He'll get a settlement, I almost guarantee it.

You have to remove Buzbee's politics from what you think about him as a lawyer. He's one or the most successful attorney's in Texas and he's notorious for winning. For those of you that think he's an "ambulance chaser" or something like "the texas hammer" you have to reset your expectations. It is MORE serious that Buzbee is the attorney. He wouldn't be taking these cases unless he has something that amounts to actual evidence. He's consistently beat mega corporations with gigantic teams of some of the best lawyers money can buy.

I'll say it again, it is super interesting to see Buzbee vs Hardin.

What’s bullshit is thinking Tommyboy would risk ownership once someone finds out they had anything to do with these lawsuits.
It’s just not something that is within the realm of reality.
Getting out of a contract is not a benefit. They won’t ever be on the right side of public opinion no matter what happens with Deshaun.

There's a fine line between an allegedly naive unlicensed "masseuse"who thinks her massage services are so fantastic that someone would pay above the going rate for an amateur massage, fly her 800 miles to a hotel room in the city that the client lives in instead of his home and a prostitute. If i'm not mistaken, it's illegal in Texas to perform massage for hire without a license. Haven't seen all the details of every allegation but I suspect Watson sought out the women masquerading as massage therapists because he believed happy endings were par for the course.

Yeah, the only issue is him believing there were happy endings vs actually being happy endings is a dangerous game to play.

 

If he had some actual evidence he would be pushing for a criminal case as well it would only increase his payday.

He really has nothing to lose by doing this and could just be a butthurt fan.

Agreed, in fact, I've said so in this very thread.....but it's also a sign when at least 9 different women come forward who were all hired by Watson to perform similar services and they all have similar stories about how he treated them.

You can muddy the water going after the ambulance chaser who is their advocate, but that doesn't mean all these women are lying. I think it's very likely that there is at least a little bit of truth to what they are saying...which means Watson is a scumbag.

That's pretty much his best case scenario, he's a scumbag. Worst case scenario, he's a rapist and a sexual predator.

 

If you can turn over the leadership of your entire franchise to easterby then there is no depth to your stupidity.

 

Depending on where and from whom he's getting a massage from, he may have thought that was what he was doing. Something about this whole thing stinks on both sides. Either way Deshaun should have known better.

Which is also another factor in this, they aren’t smart enough to manufacture some widespread case against Deshaun to win a PR battle.

 

There's a considerably different burden of proof in criminal cases, and a criminal case does not have any effect on a civil case...ask OJ, who got away with double murder because he got enough dumb people on the jury, only to get his ass kicked in civil court.
