Civil court has different standards for proof which makes that a better avenue for these kinds of things.

In a criminal trial you have to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt, for civil cases you have to prove a preponderance of the evidence....that it's more likely than not that the person is guilty.

The silver lining is they continue to hold on tradindng Deshaun, like they always have, except now they won’t be overly criticized by every media outlet for hanging onto him.

He either plays for them or he doesn’t. He may choose to play to try and rehab his image.

 

I am not quite sure honestly where he plans to go with it. It would be more likely that the league condones and has a culture that allows these type of things to happen.

That in itself is the problem. He’s got to be smarter than that. He can afford to pay for women’s discretion, top flight call girls are at his disposal. He chose to go with a different direction, and it’s probably going to cost him far more than he bargained for.

Right. Nobody is touching Watson right now. Could you even get a single first round pick for him? I don’t know how quickly this is resolved either way but on the football side Watson’s only road to rehabilitation may be to suck it up and be a Texan.

 

If Watson is innocent, that's a logical move.
