That speaks to how far the Texans have fallen when Derek Carr is the "more stable QB situation", where Las Vegas had been considering trading for a QB since they now don't seem as sure on Mariota (who had been strongly considered as a Carr replacement at the end of last season).
Not sure what you expect with Watson not being committed right now. It’s reasonable that a WR would prefer Carr to that uncertainty.
I do have to give credit to Caserio for being proactive. FA alot of times comes down to teams reaching out and offering the money FIRST. In that respect Caserio has gotten his guys and made a bunch of value picks that should turn out to be average. Better than overpaying the way Buttchin used to thats for sure.
Not sure we are disagreeing... the texans are not a top landing space for FAs. The QB situation is an important reason why... but not the only. We're the ugly girl at the bar... we will need to wait until just before closing time with the top FAs...
