Of course the Q coo Greene voted against it! Among those voting against the bill was "QAnon Congresswoman" Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia, along with Reps. Louie Gohmert, Andy Biggs, Andy Harris, Lance Gooden, Michael Cloud, Andrew Clyde, Bob Good, Greg Steube, and John Rose. Far right MAGA acolyte Rep. Matt Gaetz of Florida also voted against the bill. https://www.rawstory.com/house-republicans-oppose-capitol-police/
Not surprising. They want to pretend it wasn't as bad as it seemed, that Trump and his henchmen didn't plan the whole sedition, that Proud Boys are Patriots, that Antifa and Black Lives Matters are the same people and the real threat to our country, and that white supremacists aren't a big part of Trump's army.
The Republicans who opposed the medals for the Capitol Police were against language that Jan. 6th as an "insurrection." https://www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddow...ressional-gold-medals-capitol-police-n1261382 From the article: " What was less clear was that some Republicans actually opposed the resolution honoring the law-enforcement officials that protected the Capitol. Politico reported yesterday that some of Donald Trump's congressional allies tried to "scrub references to the insurrection" from the resolution that honored police officers who defended lawmakers during an insurrectionist attack. Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Texas), in particular, circulated an alternative resolution that sought to downplay the events of Jan. 6 and the sacrifices of Officers Brian Sicknick and Jeffrey Smith."
“Officers killed while a contingent of white trash was taking a tour of the capitol and things got out of hand.” I’m sure someone else could do much better.
They want that same type power. They like coups, if it keeps their chosen one in power. It's a new breed of radicals in that party, who could care less about helping people in need. They are radical racist gun toting white power politicians.
Coming from the mouth of the son of a President who used military force to intimidate protesters so he could stand with the Bible for a photo shoot. Give me a break.
well at least I understand why she’s opposed to masks. It sounds like her husband is opposed to wearing pants.
Interesting the q-nut brings up women and victims of violence... A gun in the home makes homicide three times more likely, suicide up to five times as likely, and accidental death four times higher than in non-gun owning homes. Studies show that nearly 78% of intimate partner homicide victims are women, 98% of whom are killed by male partners About half of women killed by men were shot, and female intimate partners are more likely to be murdered with a firearm than all other means combined Women suffering from domestic violence are eight times more likely to be killed if there are firearms in the home. An abuser’s access to a firearm increases the risk of femicide by at least 400% Women in the United States are 21 times more likely to be killed with a gun than women in other high-income countries. Every year, more than 600 American women are shot to death by intimate partners—roughly one every 14 hours. Nearly one million women alive today report being shot or shot at by an intimate partner. About 4.5 million women alive today report that an intimate partner threatened them using a gun.
.......yet these nutjobs seem to think easier access to guns will make it all better. The NRA owns them. Money talks, and their BS is ridden with flies.
