If the Rockets had Brodric Thomas (Cavs), Cade Cunningham and Aaron Gordon. They all look similar it would be confusing who is who.
Hoping Poopadipo upped that value... we need to get the best possible return in 8 days time. now I hope we strike out on Gordon just to disappoint Drock who has disappointed me sep11 and others
Another Week of this man this is really being played out. We all know Heat, Knicks need the defense, and Offensive help. They must really be playing some hardball over there in negotiations taking it to other teams who need help as well, Bucks, Lakers, Warriors, etc..
I feel like a young Tiger getting his green jacket!! Appreciate the love @D-rock, but we all know I only provide the occasional funny! That’s an impressive list, and out of the 45k members that CF’s has, I’d venture to say that 80% of the content in the GARM comes from these members! FYI ... I think the Boss belongs in that list, that list wouldn’t exist if it wasn’t for him, not to mention that he’s also a great poster...(food for thought) #KeepTankAlive Go Rockets!!! ....... ....... .......
sure but preferably ones that aren’t 35 years old let alone 2. If your gonna beat the nets, u need to make them play defense. Having perimeter defenders absolutely will help but in a series against them you need to be able to put up points and make them accountable and focus on the defensive side. if you think adding ariza and tucker is the answer the heat are in for a surprise. Can’t hurt but I’d wager heavily it’s tucker or Ariza not both
If the Heat can get Tucker and Ariza for Bradley (out of rotation), Meyers Leonard (no one wants), and KZ Okpala with one second round pick you do that. Imagine having Tucker, Ariza, Iggy, Butler, Bam all available to defend Harden and Durant. Tucker and Ariza can defend Harden better than anyone in the NBA. Neither need more than 24MPG. There is huge value to having both of them. They can both guard 1-5 and formed an elite defense in Houston together. They are intimately familiar with playing with one another and are both Harden's closest friends. If Miami gets both, I'd pick them in a 7 game series to beat the Nets.
But can you afford to have 2-3 of those kinds of players on the floor at the same time offensively against a historic offensive team that can score in bunches and go on a 10-0 run in a heartbeat? I'm not so sure. If Tucker can't improve his 3-point shot and Ariza is streaky as usual, those guys are just total minuses for a team that already isn't very good offensively (24th in ORtg). Miami is already a great defensive team (3rd in DRtg). I get the desire to add veteran guys like Tucker and Ariza to help prepare for teams with great wing players like Brooklyn. But is it worth doubling down on your strength if it makes your weakness that much weaker? For Miami, I think it makes more sense to get a two-way player like Oladipo who helps you on both ends of the floor.
Obviously, they can't. We know PJ and Ariza more than most non-Rockets fans. You're knowledgeable Boston84. I like reading your perspective here.
They did a few short years ago, locking down prime GSW. One of the greatest defensive teams ever assembled had Ariza/Tucker in the starting lineup. For a playoff run, you can do way worse. But yeah, generally I'd be surprised If they didn't throw KZ/Precious or a 1st in for Oladipo.
But that was a prolific offensive team with two all-time great playmakers at the helm. You can afford to have guys like Tucker and Ariza in your starting lineup if you have elite playmakers and a hyper-efficient offensive system in place. MIami doesn't.
Certainly, Miami has to improve in multiple areas If they want to be as good as the 2018 Rockets. That said, Ariza/Tucker give Spoelstra some dynamic defensive options to use in a 7 game series, and their value should not be understated. Riley is salivating for an offense star to put next to Jimmy Butler. Bradley Beal being off the table has messed up his plans. (PLEASE PAY FOR VIC, PLEASE PAY FOR VIC, PLEASE PAY FOR VIC...) KZ will do.
I mean 3 years in basketball for guys in their mid 30s now is an entirety ago. In a normal year- like last season I’d agree with you and typically it would be a real asset but not sure about right now
