These poor women working in massage parlors who were gunned down aren't going to get half the postings that some guy who had to go to Georgia Tech instead of MIT will get.

 

I've been following this story and have to caution at the moment we don't know what the motive is. Certainly racism fueled by rhetoric about the "China Virus" might be the cause, given these were Asian Women misogyny might be the cause. Also that these type of massage parlors are frequently fronts for prostitution and human trafficking that might have something to do with what happened. It might been more than one cause.

I know many in the Asian community are on edge over this and as an Asian I'll admit the first thing I thought of when I saw the headline was this is a hate crime. There is a danger though of jumping to conclusions about what the causes of a horrific act like this is.

Drove an hour to another location to kill some more. Foxnews said it was to get rid of sexual addiction temptation spots that he went on shooting sprees in those locations.

Personally, I'd be shocked if the racial hate wasn't involved. The logic that his "sex-addiction" would stop if he destroys these 3 businesses would only work for a mentally deranged person. The fact that these businesses involved asians must've helped said derangement of this white (likely entitled) boy, making it a racially fueled crime.

Sorry to speculate - this is just very sad to see.

Well, they were just retelling the position that the law enforcement provided at the press conference. The law enforcement also mentioned that the perp frequented those places in the past. NBC didn't list that info or I would've quoted NBC instead.
