LOL Keep digging that grave. You know you F'ed up. FYI - SSOL Suns were one of the YOUNGEST teams in the NBA. Tip: When you talk in absolutes, truth will bend you over.
Yeah, I'm not the one digging here kiddo. First of all, you didn't even know who coached the Rockets when Capela was a rookie, then you tried to double down without realizing who coached the Rockets in his second season.....and all of this trying to argue against something MDA has been known for his entire career. Seriously, pick your battles better.
LOL Must be chemically induced delusions of grandeur amirite bobby...the great. A sure sign of overcompensation. Bwahahahaha
Overall I have been very very impressed with KPJ. My biggest on-court worry for him, though, is definitely his efficiency. I even thought about making a KPJ efficiency watch thread. Unfortunately he's currently below Westbrook level, which is really bad. Having a TS in the low 50s and an eFG in the low 40s basically means you're hurting your team every time you shoot the ball. I get it, he's 20 years old, it's a very small sample size, I know that's what everyone is going to say. But not everyone improves. The passing is impressive, and the speed that he's learned how to run the offense is also impressive. But his efficiency is really bad. When it comes to winning, if you have one guy facilitating your offense and taking 20+ shots per game, there's a huge difference between 50%, 55%, 60%, and 65% TS. Every single elite scorer in the entire league is over 60% TS. This is something to keep an eye on, and something that will really be a problem if it doesn't improve. His TS was higher in the g league, but the g league also has inflated TS due to their weird free throw rules.
I like how you dodged everything I said calling out your incompetence in this exchange and just tried to attempt a half ass ad hominem instead. It's probably the best path you could have taken since you know you have no justification for how foolish you made yourself look.
I think his efficiency will improve as he plays with better players. But I love his potential on the team.
Seriously, which coach actually started Capela again? And how many players on the Suns 7 Seconds or Less starting unit were 25 or younger? And how do you explain Melo being cut and D'Antoni starting rookie Gary Clark? You are a moron of titanic proportions, it is obvious your hatred and slander towards MDA is not at all related to basketball. When you use absolutes, you are likely wrong. But you keep doing you bobby.
His rookie season? Literally no one. His second season? Kevin McHale and JBB. Did you forget again what we were talking about and the history of the Rockets head coaches? Gary Clark got literally 2 starts ever while a Rocket...and it was because there was no real alternative those 2 nights due to injury. Again kid, pick your battles better, you continue to embarrass yourself.
All I know I like the pieces we have with Wood, KPJ, Tate, and KMJ. Also you learn a lot about players body language and how they act during this adversity. Basically who really cares. I saw KPJ upset at himself and punched a chair tonight. I also saw Sterling Brown show some care with a nice hard foul and arguing with ref. Those that show frustration about the losing streak care. Martin has a little bit of an anger as well with his dunk got a T on, maybe call it selfish, but I see frustration. Wood has said many times tough to watch. The player that I don't like what I see, Oladipo has no care. Smiling, talking to other team, went and picked up one of their players. Always looks like he is bullshitting. Sure he is a nice guy, but can tell his heart is not in it, even though he did have very good stat line and showed some talent. I read his body language, can tell he is not all in like he is biding time. Saw Tucker get this way a few times this season. Also, man I wish Patton get pissed every now and then and play with more emotion. He is not awful, but I expected more as some of these guys are on audition for the future and would think want to run with it. Actually, during adversity you learn a lot about a player and what is inside of him. Be nice is Silas showed some fire. I know a strength of his is calmness during what has been drama after drama. But be nice if he got thrown out of a game, especially since your team is bad, refs tend to not give any respect so don't expect any benefit on foul calls, which you have been seeing.
Ummm dantoni would have no choice good sir as we have literally no one else left to play. 5 of the 8 available players are rookies lol
Well, sure, my initial comment was slightly tongue in cheek. When D'Antoni has no choice, he'll play young guys and rookies, but if he had any other older veteran option he'd bury a 20 year old KPJ on the bench till garbage time.
You're talking about a PG ... and saying MDA wouldn't play the best PG at his disposal. Kendall Marshall says hi. And so does Linsanity. And Imam Shumpert rookie PG ... starting until Linsanity took over. And just like KPJ, Lin and Kendall had half a year of NBA point guard experience with a different team under their belt, and inherited an injured team. We also have Tony Douglass, rookie PG, 2yrs b4 Linsanity, increasing PT 2nd yr, and losing it in his 3rd yr with MDA, when MDA went with younger, less experienced PGs Shumpert and Lin. As for other positions, we have rookie, second-round pick Landry Fields starting 81 games. KPJ would be playing, and you'd chalk it down to MDA being forced to play him, just like you say about Capela or Kendall Marshall, Imam Shumpert, Toney Douglass, Landry Fields or 48th pick Ryan Kelly, for that matter.
Wall is not gonna wanna stay. Ego doesn't care at this point. He got his money. We gotta go full tank and let these youngens do what they did in the G-league - gain confidence and dominate (over time) - like the Astros - but not take that long.
It doesn't matter if they "want" to stay, Wall is going to collect his $44M next season, and I don't see teams breaking down the door the relieve us of that contract. You have to show case Wall with starter minutes until the trading deadline next season in hopes of someone wanting him and less money due than at beginning of season.. These rich owners leave money in the bank until the last minute to continue drawing interest to the last second. They also make the team paying a John Wall contract continue paying it until the last season. What? Or why do you think we have been showcasing all these expiring contracts this season; to build up their trade values. Actually winning was shelved a long time ago. Chances are that Cade or Jalen Green plus Wood/Tate/Wall/House/Porter/Martin jr/Patton/Lamb/Brooks will be ready to truly compete. The NBA is entertainment; but also a business. It's not always about winning. Often with owners it's about the bottom dollar. If Wall coming off the bench making $44M bothers the boss, then developing Porter/Cade or Jalen Green takes a back seat.......or they play more from the 2-spot. I have the Rockets keeping Eric Gordon because of uncertainty. We don't know if we actually get that top 4-pick. Maybe we don't and we miss out on Cade/J Green. As much as I can't stand Eric Gordon he is averaging 18 points per game. That's about 1 million per point the Rockets pay him. We can actually do a lot worse. I feel Eric can average 18 to 19 points a game next season as well. We have to wait and see what the Rockets net in these trades coming up. If talent comes back we may be in this real soon. Guy like Aaron Gordon and others need to be added with C Wood/Porter so we don't waste C Wood talent. If we go all young........you will be wasting Wood. Might as well trade him too.
