Harden has doubled the number of the midrange shots he has taken with the nets. He really isn't playing the same way.
So you're telling me you don't have to put up 36 ppg when playing with Kyrie Irving and Joe Harris instead of Danuel House and PJ Tucker, and your second best scorer can actually score over 20 ppg? shocking....
He ain't going to take that criticism from Dwight Howard or an injure CP3 asking him to run around so CP3 can get an extra assist on his stat sheet. He listened to Ariza and Tucker.
It's still pretty small, though. Going from 1% of your shots to 2% of your shots being long 2s isn't a huge difference.
yup...he’ll listen to Kyrie and KD...2 champions and bonafide stars Dwight’s been a joke and someone u don’t take seriously nearly his whole career, and no superstar would be tolerating 18-19 CP3’s yapping (well, maybe Lebron only because they’re banana boat buddies)
He went from 13 on 26% on 3-10 foot shots. Maybe they aren't technically midrange, but with rockets he barely took any of those shots.
Those are floaters, and he only didn’t take that many last season because we went with no big on the PnR so it took away the lob and the floater from his game. He was at 23% in 18-19. Harden still doesn’t take any midrange shots
Yup. Now that he’s playing with bigs who are lob threats again, it makes the defense either give him the floaters or lobs. Pick your poison. He’s been killing teams doing both once again. No one gave a damn about a lob threat last year playing with westbrick so there was never a floater opportunity for him to use.
with no big, his only option last year was to drive it all the way to the rim or kick it out to a bricklayer behind the arc people keep trying to act like Harden has changed...on offense, he’s still pretty much the exact same...still all threes and layups or floaters...still ISO’s and does a bunch of stationary between the legs dribbles...still takes stepback threes...everything is just at lower volume and he passes more because he actually has threats on offense and doesn’t need to have 35% usage and average at least 30 ppg for his team to be competitive
Harden does exactly everything he’s done here in Houston. And it’s always about what the defense is giving him. There’s absolutely nothing new to his game that we already haven’t seen here. All the same shitt the media has been crying about for years is the same thing they’re trying to praise him about now.
It really pissed me off that we went without a center last year and it took one of gardens most efficient plays away. So dumb.
That’s a testament to how damn good he is and is able to play under various situations which only a handful of players can at an elite level. Still was completely dumb to take a pnr threat away. The team obviously suffered. But that’s the cost of trading for a brick fest westbrick who is no threat from the perimeter whatsoever.
not true before the Capela trade: 36 ppg after the Capela trade: 32 ppg So how was he scoring more points?
