KPJ needs to be the starting point guard and John Wall needs to backup because of his bad knee. It is what it is. John Wall will still average 20+ points a game against second string guys.
It’s been a total sh*tshow - I think he’ll weather it and will look back at this year as a true lesson in being an NBA coach
Bs... Wall and Gordon were both on the trade block with big salaries now both of these guys claim injury related plans just when the deadline is approaching. All that bs was planned no different than Harden going to Brooklyn. Rockets didn't even have nationally televised games for the most part prior to this season even starting. Stop playing games with Houston sports fans and get on with tanking this stupid a$$ season.
maybe they purposely keep him out of the loop since he’s the ones the media asks questions to. I don’t like this leak tho. Wall needs to get flipped while there’s some value.
So what’s the deal here? I still don’t understand what’s going on with Wall. Which leads to my confusion about whether or not it makes sense for us to hang on to Augustin. If Wall’s knee really requires another surgery, why is there talk about him possibly returning soon? In a throwaway season, no less?
The only way to get rid of Augustine this year is to expand the trade. If not, we will have him to move after the season. No reason to keep him as a backup on a rebuilding team. Wall is and has been untradeable unless you give up a couple FRP to unload.
I like John as a person. He is definitely a better passer than Westbrook, but he has been playing selfishly. We all know we have many limitations, but playing outside the team concept is unacceptable. A veteran like Wall knows better. It's his fault and Silas'. I'm sad he's hurt and Eric too. I don't think they're faking injuries.Eric pulled his groin after scoring 17 points in one half.
I understand Wall isn’t getting moved. What I’m asking is: what’s actually going on with his knee? And if it requires surgery, why wait? And it could be argued PG-by-committee isn’t ideal, and that having a veteran true PG on this team could be beneficial. I’m not necessarily making that case, but Wall’s availability for the remainder of the season would influence my decision.
Shut Wall down for the season. We are tanking and he's untradeable with his contract. We are better off with him not playing.
