If you got really lucky and traded VO for AG and Tucker for Dante, then got lucky and hit on Cunningham in the draft. KPJ Dante Wood Cunningham AG. With Tate/EG/Drafted big/Wall off of the bench. All it takes is a little luck.
Stone and Silas thought Dipo was a building block. And Wall is the franchise. That's TWO building block guards right there, not even counting Porter.
That lineup is actually possible I was thinking about it yes the lottery is rigged I believe and Houston is a bigger Market than Minnesota or Detroit so I think silver might just give us the first pick after all... Even with all that China stuff that morey did..morey is gone We need to keep losing we need to get Cade and trade a couple of assets and maybe a pick for Aaron Gordon and that lineup is definitely definitely possible I really like that lineup
Crap.. I just realized that Golden State I think has Minnesota's unprotected pick maybe is top 3 protected I don't know But if it's unprotected I could see silver giving golden state Cade that would suck...and us #2.. I would not be mad with number two pick..
Other fans, especially Denver fans, understand the value of AG. I'm glad Stone is clued in too. This gives me hope that Rockets still value analytics.
i don’t see how shooting well for 20 games means your shot is improving, especially when there hasn’t been much career development over the previous 7 yrs. the guy shot 30% From 3 last year and is a career 32% shooter. I think his passing skills are great but don’t see much else to get excited about. Given he’s only a year away from free agency I don’t think he’s much of a return. If we can’t get a pick or legit prospect for Vic I could see the benefit of turning him into Aaron Gordon, but only with the hope that AG gets you more of a return than Vic when you ship him out. I don’t see him as a building block. But hey, if we get him I hope I’m wrong.
It's okay, you WILL be wrong and you will love it. Because you are a die hard Houston Rockets fan. Many could not understand trading Capela for Covington either.
We need building blocks but what is this obsession with height? The team with most wins in a reg season had curry, klay, draymond, iguadala none of whom were over 6ft 6
The deuchebag in me would just love for the rockets to get gordon and have him just completely suck just to see what that would do that to you. Would you turn into a GOF?
I hate when ppl use the GSW as outliers like they didn’t have the goat perimter backcourt. That’s the difference!!!!
I could see Nets revisit a PJ trade at deadline. Drummond does not fit their switch defense IMO. But if he is not bought out and instead traded, Tucker as a target makes too much sense. https://tradenba.com/trades/COSJ2H3XH NETS: PJ Tucker, Ben McLemore, Gary Clark MAGIC: Spencer Dinwiddie, Danuel House, Rodions Kurucs + Pistons FRP ROCKETS: Aaron Gordon, Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot 6'5 Porter/6'4 Wall/6'5 Sterling 6'3 EGo/6'5 Nwaba 6'7 TLC/6'4 Tate 6'8 AG/6'6 KJ 6'10 Wood/6'11 Patton
Rockets need at least one more blue chip type player to pair with Wood and KPJ for the future. If we can get either AG, Collins, or MPJ that will be amazing. Or if luck is on our side, Cade will be a tremendous get as well.
If Lowery not moved or is traded to Heat, 76ers are going to be knocking hard on our door for Dipo. They need more scoring in the new arms race in the East. Nets will catch them and lap them soon. Morey knows he needs to make another move by the deadline, we all know how he gets. At that point, what should Stone's strategy be?
Dipo to Magic makes too much sense. Dipo has been trying to get back to FLA for years now. And Magic fans still love him. Not sure he will find same love in other cities.
