Just looked up his stats, he looks absolutely horrendous. His stats are some of the worst I've seen. I've not really seen him play, is he any good with the eyetest?
I see a lot of Robert Covington in him when he plays. 6-8, 7-2 wingspan. The more he plays the better he gets. They have been starting him at the center with Bam out and they have won every game he has started in said span. He's not a finished product but he clearly needs an opportunity to learn on the fly. That is his full game from last night, the good and the bad. Like Derrick Jones Jr, Okpala is incredibly springy and long, something this team desperately lacks. Also he went to Stanford so you know he's got a good head on his shoulders. The kind of guy you want to have here.
I’m on board with trading C Wood, but good lord. Not for this LOL. Even if the picks were unprotected and were far out in 2024, 2026, and 2028, Tatum-Brown-Wood core is too young and too good.
I would trade Christian Wood for a superstar. I would have a tough time trading him for MPJ and I think he has way higher upside. Salman Ali as of late has been completely negative about everything on this team. Basically one of those guys who says trade PJ for a second, take whatever you can for Oladipo which is probably nothing at all, and trade everyone else for Protected 2nds. He seems like he is having a tough time with something lately and he's taking it out on the team and his coverage is very negative and not enjoyable.
