Was hoping for those 6 million dollars to go to malcom brown. Singles and doubles. This signing is more like a pop fly hoping the outfielder misplays it.
“Can reach up to 6 million” for Collins. Which likely means it’s an incentive heavy contract. I like that Caserio negotiates contracts in this way... makes contracts low risk for the team cap wise and gives players motivation to reach incentives to maximize their money.
I've noticed most of these deals are 1 or 2 yr deals at the most. For instance, Cannon has two years left on his deal, but the Texans can get out of the deal after next year.
He'll fit right in. We're terrible. We're looking for talent with very little cash on hand. Gotta buy a few lottery tickets and hope one of them hit.
Maybe if I look like I'm working Deshaun will love it. 1 milly here 2 milly there. I'd rather these last 4 signings had been taken care of with rooks and undrafted FAs. Spent 5 million on bodies. These are not even singles.
Just a shame he's still with the organization. I'm liking the moves the GM is making but its soiled because Cal and Easterby. I'm fine with all the other moves the Texans have made but all these positive moves mean little if you lose Watson and don't replace him with like Wilson or Rogers or something.
