The thing is the only thing we really remember are Championships. Not so much conference championships. I know Sampson has built a great program here and have to admit I was a bit surprised that we had not won a conference championship until today. But what I do remember is Michigan's lucky shot knocking us out of what would have probably been a trip to the final four a couple of years back. If not for COVID, last years team was pretty damn good as well.
so UH is out of Gonzaga's and Baylor's region. that's pretty good. UT and UH looking like they'll be in the same region
Not quite as good as Rudy T's "Never underestimate the heart of a champion." but I am sure Sampson will come up with something better as we move along.
Don’t overlook Cleveland St. they play fast and fearlless. If the Coogs let them hang around, the vikings will start believing. Thats how you get upset. I fully expect a Coog win but Cleveland St. will bring it tomorrow. The Coogs gotta demoralize them early with suffocating defense. Let the offense come naturally. They will be trying to get us in foul trouble with penetration early and often. Play smart Coogs.
