The only one who could have would be Lebron James. While our offense wouldn't have been as good, our defense woulda been far superior. He might have had a chance.

you mean Lebron by himself who can't get one win against GSW in 3 tries?

He asked a question about if KD was injured.
    Lebron did beat that team..

Also no Kawhi the Spurs would have no answer for him.

the pace was significantly higher in bird's era than in harden's. i didn't add it up, but the pace would appear to be a little higher during hakeem's than melo's, and much higher if only looking at their primes. melo is just a really high volume scorer who played for a long time and bird didn't really play that many games while harden is an ironman and is obviously among the highest scoring players ever.

So James who only won 50 games in a "crappy" east with CP3 missing around 25 games in the west?

how's lebron doing without AD anyway

You do realize Lebron has never won a title without a stacked lineup right. Most teams that have won have stacked lineups. Just not a good argument. You even see cp3's stats in that series? Ya not happening.
This Nets team is about to trample all over the NBA. It's the most insane team I have ever witnessed. Kevin Durant James Harden and prime Kyrie...? That team is even better than the 65 win Rockets team. Tillman ruined this franchise.

I never once said they would win a title. This was just in response to beating a KD less warriors or a Kawhi Less Spurs.

I don't even know why people are upset we lost those series cuz even if we win them not like we woulda won a championship. Our one shot was lost with CPs hammy.

with the Spurs series, I wasn’t mad that we lost...heading into the season, I thought the Rockets would be a 45-48 win team and lose in the 1st round, so they greatly exceeded my expectations that year to begin with

Harden really had that roster starting off the year 31-9...insane

it was more how we lost...at least lose to SA in game 7 or with a hard fought L in game 6

if we had won that series, GS would’ve DEMOLISHED us...it would’ve been very ugly

I’m actually glad we didn’t play them in the playoffs that year...our defense was nowhere near good enough to compete with them...back then our strategy against GS was “well hopefully we make 20+ threes”

So what do we think about Durant’s injury? Serious?

He is 32 years old.... has had two serious lower body injuries that cost him the season.... so yes I think it is something that is both inevitable and could possibly be a problem. However at the same time I also believe that the Nets are being very careful with him because they really only need him in the playoffs..... they would be in trouble if James Harden wasn't Wolverine and could likely play through a gun blast to the chest.

I expect Durant healthy heading into the post season..... they have Kyrie and Harris both to assist Harden. The Nets are likely more concerned with figuring out how they intend to use the contract of Dinwiddie, their MLE and also the value of Shalmet in trade.

    So No Back to Backs
Probably only once every three games
    I think play a game. .. . .assess him
Take a couple of games off
Then Play a couple of games. . . assess

    No Hurry

Nets would be so screwed if they didn’t have Harden...he’s the only reliable star health-wise

There really isn’t any need for Brooklyn to rush KD back. Just need him for the playoffs.
