Who is debating the better player?

I am saying that this version of Kyrie would have been just as good as the version of CP3 we had , i'm sorry you Paul fans have an issue with that.

But I will say this what does advanced numbers mean when CP3 has yet to take a team out of the 2nd round and has squandered leads of 3-2 and 3-1 why should I care what assist to turnover ratio is and per if he can't close a series out?

So you take your advanced numbers and I will take results and that's why I am debating this.

If we are talking about running a team alone I would take Paul but if I am pairing him with Harden I would probably take Kyrie.

What has Kyrie done that's even close to CP3? At least Chris Paul makes the playoffs and second round. Kyrie just rode Lebrons coattails and his ego got in the way. And he's been struggling since.

What are Kyrie results outside of playing with the GOAT and now he has KD and Harden...

Kyrie leaves the Cavs nothing changes they still in finals. He made the Celtics worse and they might even be better now without him. What did he do last year without KD?

Chris Paul biggest knock is staying healthy. Kyrie has the same issue.

I can see why you would think this, but I don't think a team of Kyrie and Harden can win 65 games and take 4 all stars to the brink of elimination.

CP3 and Harden were a championship team. That hammy will haunt Rockets fans forever if we don't have a quick rebuild. It started the Westbrook and Wall fiasco.

Harden passes Bird in all time scoring (#40 -> #39).
    As Melo passed Hakeem (#14 -> #13) :(.

Benefit of playing in current NBA era (higher # possessions).

Last year what team had 3 all-stars? Not the lakers, clippers, heat, or any other team I can think of. Even AD didn't do the Pelicans this bad. We literally got trash for a top 5 player. Harden opened a big old can of quit when he wasn't getting traded fast enough. Would have rather waited and got a good player. With the way celtics are sucking maybe we get brown or maybe murray. More than an expiring contract and maybe a chance at high draft pick.

I know that. We were talking about year one. CP3 was still injured his second year here. If him and harden were still together last year I think we woulda had a much better chance.

That 2017-2018 team destroyed the competition. Best team we've ever had. Blowing teams out left and right.

Last year our team was soo depleted of talent cuz our owner was soo cheap it didn't matter anymore how many stars we played against. Teams knew all they had to do with double Harden and the Rockets would lose.

Harden and Kyrie without KD doing the same if not better. Winning at a 69-win pace.

I feel like they’ve lost once since james showed to brooklyn outside of the first week. I can only shake my head that KD is on that team as well. Really hope James can win MVP and finals MVP, i cant root against him after the effort he gave here outside of this season

In a crappy East I show they are 10-3 which puts them on pace for 63 wins. I count the Toronto game that Durant wasn't allowed to play then played 5 minutes then got pulled again for covid.

I believe no other player could have led the Rockers further than harden. Without Harden, this is a tanking team.

so who could have led the Rockets?

17-18 CP3 is just flat out better. The impact metrics favor Cp3. Sorry but this isn’t a discussion which favors Kyrie.
