Shams - Philly offered Simmons/Thybulle + draft compensation. Did we make the right deal?

Whoa IDK about the other guys but I know Kurucs sucks. I had hope he would show something but was totally disappointed . He's not a NBA level player. He needs G-league time. Maxey and Thybulle are probably at least NBA level players. Kurucs coordination looks like he might pull a sam dekker and fall on the ball with his face. If Kurucs is an ygood he must need time to develop. Which begs to ask why KJMartin and KCJ have been in Rio Grand instead of the Kurucs. I assume it's to maximize developing future contributors while tanking at the same time. Only thing I can think of.

 

You think a 6'2 pg shooting 25% from 3 is an NBA level player? Lol only CF still thinks those 2 are worth a fortune.

 

The Nets deal is of great value. We recieved a vast amount of picks and a player that gives you 20 points a game and very good defense. We can still trade him for Herro or NY package deal but we are in good shape. Wall is a solid point guard(above average point guard), superstar in the making Porter. Last night against Utah, he was the best player or the second best player on the court...this is amazing GM's smarts!!! We have Woods who could have been a all star this year. We have two young stars,( Porter and Woods), strong building block players(Nwaba, Martin and Tate), two veteran guards(Wall and Gordon) who can give us 20 points a game, a vast amount of picks for the next three years....and we are going to recieve SOMETHING from Dipo and Tucker....maybe Herro and Horten Tucker.....i'm excited about this team

the greatest thing to come out of the Harden trade is the ability to be so bad that we could possibly draft Cade...I’ll take that over Simmons

Lol he is bro. U are aware embid gets hurt alot, so it's nothing new u need to see. Simmons has already played when embid was hurt before. N guess what, they didn't lose for the most part. Simmons is giannis people. Give him 4 shorter around him he would have a team just as good as giannis. I know we hate Simmons but if u watch the game u know his struggles comes from not surrounding him with players that boost his skills

Why would the Heat give us Herro for Oladipo when they can get him for free when the season over? If Oladipo is set on going to Miami, he holds all the leverage. And no other team is going to give us valuable assets for an injury prone player on an expiring contract. I always believed we should have taken Caris Levert instead

 

I don’t think they will give us Herro but they might not be able to get him for free. Unless they renounce Robinsons and Nunn they can only give him $20m. Maybe Dipo lowers his asking price, maybe nobody else offers him more anyway, but it’s far from certain Miami can get him this summer.

 

No he's not lol. Also please remember Philly is pretty stacked for a eastern conference team. Tobias Harris is pretty good and can get you a couple wins that you'll mistakenly give Simmons credit for. Simmons offensive numbers should drastically go up without Embiid. If he's a cornerstone player, he should be putting the team on his back and DOMINATING. If he doesn't that proves my point about him being just a athletic Chuck Hayes

 

I hope you're right because we need to get significant value back in return Oladipo for the trade to be worth it. And that's only going to happen if Oladipo is willing to play elsewhere besides Miami. But considering he turned down top dollar extensions from Pacers and Rockets when he hasn't even proven to deserve that big of a contract, just leads me to believe that his focus is on one team and only would sign an extension with his team of preference. At this point I'm not expecting much in return for him but Rockets can't afford to let him walk for nothing and other teams only will send us low-ball offers knowing that fact. If Stone can somehow finesse the Knicks to give us a combination of Quickly/Robinson, I can see the Knicks giving up some younger assets to boost their playoff push this year

Simmons, 2 scrubs and a protected frp isnt the best package.

First of all Simmons makes the super max+trade kicker. That alone means you cant improve the team anymore cuz you are capped out if you keep him. I like the combo of Wood and Simmons, but with Wall making the super max as well that team is just garbage and barely better than WOW factor.

Moving Simmons? I dunno what Simmons is gonna gonna go for but u honestly think he is worth 4 FRPs and 4 swaps we got from the Nets? If he worth that much Morey would have traded him already and called the Rox with a package. Since he aint worth that much whats the point of saying you could move him?

It makes 0 sense to me people argue that we could have moved Simmons but ignore that he aint worth what we already got from the Nets. And dont get started on Maxey and Thybulle, 2 crap players y'all were swearing were special.
