I like how you put KPjr in the Harden trade. Try to help Stone man look better. Clever Gent

Edited: let me rephrase that, make the Harden trade look better than it was. Stone did have the stones to trade a heavily protected 2nd round pick for KPj

Don't forget the last couple of swaps.

Jarrett Allen was arguing with Collin Sexton on a Play. Plus Jarrett wants a Max $90 Million Dollar Contract.

The Nets didnt want to Pay him. Cavs want to go to the Playoffs at Least. Jarrett could be a Rental at this Point.

KPj is almost assuredly an under the table portion of the aforementioned deal.

Why does everyone keep saying this? I don’t see how. If KPJ never threw his tantrum, he’d still be in Cleveland right now. If another team would have offered more, he’d be somewhere else. I’m also not buying the ‘CLE knew we had Lucas and cared about KPJ’s health’ takes — it was reported CLE was going to straight up release him if no trade came about.

It’s purely coincidence and we lucked out.

Throwing a fit and calling management racists for moving his locker stall near the restroom was probably also planned. Love you man.

But I'm not buying that under the table- timing thing. I think they were a week and a half apart.

Edited: Harden traded Jan 14th......Porter threw a fit because they gave his locker to Prince.....Cavs reported they will trade him or release him (Jan 18th)........traded to Rockets (Jan 22nd).

You may be right Plowman, but anyone could have traded for him. If comfortable doing so.

Maybe not purely coincidence, because Stone obviously jumped to contact the Cavs about taking problem child KPJ off their hands, so credit to him.

But I agree that the move had absolutely nothing to do with the Harden trade. Possibly letting the Cavs get Allen for a bad FRP put their GM in a favorable mood regarding Stone, but that's about it.

Lucas and Silas was more responsible for Porter trade than Stone was.

JBB cared about KPJ and wanted to send him to a team with coaches who have had success with problem players, coaches like John Lucas.

There was no quid pro quo here as much as we want this to be true.

    Stone got lucky.

Well, Porter was quoted as saying, "It's modern-day slavery here.". Something to that nature.

Dan Gilbert imo does run a toxic environment in Cleveland. Judging by some of the things I've read.during the first LeBron days.
Kevin is the type of person you talk to, communicate with prior....not after the fact. Respect like. Don't just yank his locker like that.

John Lucas should be exactly what the doctor ordered for Porter..

Yup. I think it is possible the KPJ trade is unrelated to the Harden deal, but gawdamn Stone exhibited some strange Lawyer maneuvers to land C-Wood. It would NOT surprise me If something was going on with KPJ wayyy earlier than reported.

Not even Morey can make this bald man cry!!!

You are preaching to the choir. That's why I pushed for Lucas as head coach. He is well known for his work with troubled youths.

But by the reports I've read, the Cavs were getting zero offers. mar1juana possession, car flipping over, punching a woman in the face, rant in the
locker room. Teams were fine with young Porter go international. As in overseas to play. Houston was just desperate enough to take a chance
    with protected 2nd rounder.

Alleged incidents....let me make that point

No, but if we open our eyes, we had the chance to get him BECAUSE of the trade.

KPJ threw a tantrum because Prince and Allen got "rotation lockers" and he got shunted to "end of bench guy" land. Led to untenable rationship with the Cavs. Houston swooped like the vigilant seagull on the chip.

No Harden trade = no KPJ acquisition.
    Kind of related isn't it?

I think this is too linear line of thinking, Porter's relationship with Cavs was much more layered, much more complex.

Porter was extremely frustrated after being exiled from team after his car flip and assault charge. Porter did not play a single minute for Cavs this season.

And Cavs played Porter out of position at SF last season.

Porter and Cavs were headed for a breakup, even without the locker issue. Porter was looking for an excuse to blow up because he was prevented from doing what he loved the most, playing basketball.

The "slavery" comment was not about a locker.
