We had folks talking championship. It was just sad.

The good news is, they are tanking fast & that top 4 in draft could be within reach.

And to think they wanted to play PJ 35 minutes last night too until he said kiss my ass. Let’s keep playing Dipo too while we’re at it and hope we don’t ruin what’s left of his trade value too.

The other owner had larger offers from China but refused to sell the Rockets to them, and instead made sure he sold it to someone that lives in Houston.

Also it doesn't matter how many shrimp Tilman sales, he isn't changing his stripes.

But if he goes broke, I really wouldn't be shocked to see him sell to a group who wants to move the team to Vegas or Seattle. If his ship sinks, he's taking us with him.

I don't think so for a purely financial standpoint.

A team in Houston is worth more than a team in Seattle or Las Vegas.

If a group wanted to move a team to Seattle or Vegas they would need Silver's approval, and it would be far easier and cheaper to buy a team from a small market and move it.

Further, if serious buyers started showing interest in Vegas and Seattle, the league would likely expand and sell the rights to a perspective owner, the other owners would financially benefit greatly.

Teams like Memphis and Charlotte and New Orleans and Milwaukee and Indiana are all possible relocation candidates.

I remember reading a rumor tweet once that Durant did want to come play in Houston but our implosion in 2015-2016 scared him off. Was that just smoke?

Yes and he didn't respect MDA. I have it on good authority he told Harden no thanks on a meeting because he thought the hiring of MDA felt desperate. It's quite ironic that they are all together in Brooklyn. Stings.

This is like the worst form of irony. This is like a really dark joke that’s not funny. Durant never knows what he freaking wants.

i mean MDA just had failed to click with Kobe and Melo back to back. It was a consensus dislike. I thought it was a horrible choice at the time too. MDA really repaired his reputation here and hopefully he finds a new gig next year.

We're lucky it wasn't a season ending injury otherwise his value really would be at 0.

At least now he can still help out a playoff team.

In the end though, Melo was actually the problem. And I honestly don’t know if Kobe actually disliked D’Antoni. It’s hard to say. Either way it passes me off that he never even gave Mike a chance.
